Where are we today ?
Milder last night and still great for sleeping A few walkabouts early morning enjoying the fresh air and wonderful sunrise.
|
another nice sunrise |
Chat with a few people around then back home. Was reading a blog that I have followed a few times Dennis and Carol's RV Adventures and noticed they had pulled into this Resort.. Hmm looked out the window and they were almost right across from us. As it happened they were having their coach washed and waxed so I wandered over to chat with Dennis for a while, small world!
|
Their coaches nice and clean now |
Now with these guys getting their coaches washed got me in to mood to clean ours. Not really that bad as I had just done it in Benson about a month ago. No vehicle washing allowed here but I can bucket wash it. So an hour or so later all done, nice and shiny again and even touched up the graphics and a few spots with wax. The weather perfect for this in the morning temps into the mid 60's.
While doing this quite a few more people came in with their toys. Sandrails, dune buggies and stuff, some major money in these rigs. No need to go to the dunes and see them they right here in front of us.
I did get a few walkabouts done as well just over 3 miles today, enjoying the fresh air and exercise.
|
this guy really enjoying the sunshine too |
And some quality reading time done here in the sunshine as well, of course shorts, t-shirts and sandals to keep cool enough for a while.
|
enjoying this book |
Then at 1:30 good friends Jim and Sharon (fulltime rv'ers) dropped in for a visit. From Alberta Canada. Have not seen them for 2 years now. So nice to catch up again.
|
Jim and Sharon |
Then at 3:15 Happy Hour at Denis and Sandies, so Jim and Sharon tagged along, John and Barb joined us and as usual lively conversation about our Rv lifestyles.
|
Nice gathering for Happy Hour |
|
Sharon and Jim on their lifetime journey |
After Happy hour and a bit, head home to fire up our Weber Q grilled a couple Mahi-Mahi Burgers to add to our salad and we are good to go.
|
did the trick again |
That was another fun desert day enjoying the sunshine and getting things done. Meeting up with old friends, meeting new bloggers and having fun.
Thanks for stopping in again and hope your day was as wonderful as ours.
And of course another reminder of Bloggerfest in Quartzsite, you will see this everyday now until the event. If you are in the area drop on by and pass the word around too.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Fall and Winter..
If you are finding the temperature a little too warm where you are you won't find that problem in Ontario. LOL!
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
We know, that's why we here.
DeleteNice buggies that pulled in! Looks like Moab....
ReplyDeleteAnd nice friends to enjoy the afternoon with...have fun!
They are amazing machines.
DeleteWould love to go for a spin in one of those sand buggies, looks like lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteThey are a lot of fun out in the dunes.
DeleteLooks like the people are starting to come in. It also looks like the weather is starting to warm up. We saw one of those sand buggies blow up on the dunes. That would be an expensive activity.
ReplyDeleteIt is a very expensive toy, and lots of accidents in the dunes too, been there done that, was fun at the time.
DeleteAre those toys used for anything else besides playing on the dunes? Never been in anything that fancy!
ReplyDeleteThat's about all they are good for playing in the dunes. Light weight, high powered, fast and load. Paddle tire for the sand.
DeleteSay "hello" to Dennis and Carol for us.
ReplyDeleteI will if I see them out again, rainy day today.
DeleteYour day was very similar to ours right down to the burgers on the grill.
ReplyDeleteYes it sure was, amazing how that happens.
DeleteI think it's great that you are always meeting up with folks you haven't seen in a while.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to catch up and run into these people on the road.
DeleteWow, a whole lot of money spent on those toys. Glad to see you tow having fun in the sun.
ReplyDeleteYes lotsa money, way too much fun in the sun here.
DeleteOur RV is due for a cleaning but it is pointless till we get further into southern California or Arizona. We plan to be in southern Oregon tomorrow afternoon. We faced delays due to an electrical issue with our truck, here in central Washington State.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels and enjoy wherever you end up as I am sure you will.
