Sunshine, warm day and Rv friends here for a while too.

Where are we today ?
Another cold night and wonderful warm day when the sun comes up, Typical desert weather that we are used to. 32 f outside and 48f inside (5am) , but we toasty warm. Fire up our  Mr.heater and in no time 70f inside.
How do we make coffee when dry camping like this? Our Coffee perk that we have had forever, makes the best coffee.
our perk on the left a
tea pot on the right
use these wrap filter for the perk
Love the morning sunrises on the mountains here
On one of my walkabouts today I spotted this very cool rv. I stopped to take a look and the owner was inside. He loved to talk about it. A very nice 1986 Vixen 21 TB. These were made from 1986 to 1989  only about 350 total, the person that developed the Pontiac GTO so he told me. You can check them out  HERE. He found this a few years ago, about 40,000 miles on it. It is in amazing condition and all original, With a BMW 6 cylinder turbo diesel 5 speed standard transmission and gets about 30 MPG.  Tested on a race track at 100 mph. handles like a race car.
NOW IS THAT NOT TOO COOL ?
Then about noon had some friends we met back in 2007 here from Nova Scotia Canada. heading this way and camped right beside us. Jim and Lucille. Have met up with a few times over the years. It so nice that we can reconnect once again. What a super couple they are.
Lucille and Jim
They set up next to us and we chatted forever. Then at 3 pm John and Barb dropped in for "Happy Hour" . They have met them before too so  we had much more fun telling stories, lies, and a few fun things. With this amazing weather Happy hour became two, then finally time for them to head home and we can whip up super. Another couple stopped by as well, Ray and his wife joined in gums flapping what's not to enjoy about that?
what a great social time
While everyone was here we had our pork ribs on the Q wrapped in foil with  sauerkraut for a couple hours. The longer the better.
ribs and kraut on the Q
Then time to take them off put them on our grill mat and slather with BBQ sauce.
Ribs done, salad ready and we had a very tasty supper of fall off the bones spare ribs.
sure hit the spot I tell you
Another fun desert day, enjoy the hot sun and fun times with friends, Even managed to get about 3 miles walking in today as well.
Thanks for stopping by again and if you in the area stop in for Bloggestfest at La Posa South. Sat. Jan 23rd 1 till 4 pm. Washrooms are available there if you need. Hope to see you there!

    1. That sound wonderful Charley, The sauerkraut adds flavor and makes the meat tender. Suzie does not like the Sauerkraut either but likes when I cook th it

    1. They are hard to find, stock up if you come across them. Makes cleanup real easy.

  6. These sunny days do make for nice vistas during your walks. The cooler temperatures only make one appreciate the warmer temperatures that are sure to come in the weeks ahead.
