Where are we today ?
this where we are right now |
this where we were supposed to be right now |
Now the choice is obvious right ? But as most of our blog followers know, plans got changed so now we are here. It is what it is, but we are keeping warm, we are healthy, and helping family out, thats the most important part.
Got a few more things accomplished today, purging and staging the house just waitin'.
Suzie took her Dad to the hospital to visit her mom again about 1/2 hour away. And while she did that I got a few things done and over to the indoor walking track, did another 2 miles today, same as yesterday. Might do more but 24 laps is not too exciting, but then again better than nothing and still too cold and icy outside to get me walking very far. Nice thing is that every second day we change direction so we don't keep turning the same way and get dizzy.
not snowing today so they are removing excess snow from the roadside ready for the next snowstorm |
When Suzie heads home I can begin supper and tonight is Salmon with Dill Sauce for the recipe click HERE or check my recipe blog on the top of the right sidebar.
Salmon with Dill sauce. steamed rice and a salad sure hit the spot |
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this past Winter.
George, I've been following your blog for a while now & enjoy your posts. You are good people and your families are lucky to have you. I hope all is going well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carole, we do what we can and yes we are doing fine.
DeleteWe definitely know where you'd like to be.
ReplyDeleteRight now with the dampness in the air the wind cuts through you here in southern Florida. It's supposed to dip below the freezing mark tonight. Already have the heaters on to keep warm.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Don't like dampness thats why we love Arizona.
DeleteWell George, it's been below 30 F at nights here in Glen Rose for a couple of weeks. Heck, if you're gonna live in the cold you may as well live where there's snow too. (okay.. that's my opinion... Bill wouldn't agree)
ReplyDeleteThe cold is bad enough, but I am with Bill we could do without the snow.
DeleteI choose....Not where you are! lol
ReplyDeleteThats our choice too, and we will get south again some day.
DeleteI think we're probably in the only place to be right at the moment. Hope things are coming together okay on the house and that Suzie's is doing better.
ReplyDeleteThings are moving along, and coming together, slowly.
DeleteActually, it's warmer on Mars than it is in Chicago. Maybe you should take a trip there? ;c)
ReplyDeleteDon't think we can drive our coach there, thats the problem.
DeleteWe are getting into higher ground now so things are starting to chill off but still way better than up there in Ontario. Having said that our daughter in Nova Scotia got snowed in on Sunday and had to spend the night at work and then worked on Monday which was supposed to be her day off because the roads still weren't cleared enough that the guy who was suppose to come into work but couldn't. Then yesterday she posted a picture with her car and the snowbanks way above it and her husband couldn't make it out of their road onto the next road, luckily they had another route out. The amount of snow there is unbelievable and it has started snowing again. Boy, Canada is sure getting it's share of winter this year. Sounds like you are doing a little better than out east, guess you have to be thankful for that. Hope it starts to warm up soon for you George.

Yes the East coast is really getting clobbered, we could have it worse here but even better we could be in Arizona.
DeleteYou guys keep warm and enjoy your travels.
Yup, It has been HOT here in Yuma for sure !
ReplyDeleteYes we have been watching the weather, you really got lucky this year, enjoy!
DeleteWell, the temperatures look too hot in Yuma and way too cold where you are at. What about something just perfect?
ReplyDeleteFor me too hot is perfect, I love it in the 80's and 90's.
DeleteThe salmon dish looks outstanding and as for the weather, which I know you like it hot, I think I prefer 1F to 89F, now if were 1F vs 70F I'd go for the warmer - it was 4F here this AM.
ReplyDeleteThanks Larry, yes I do like the heat and have never complained about it, can always cool down, but takes a long time to warm up.
DeleteOK....so we won't tell you how nice it is here in Desert Hot Springs.
ReplyDeleteA good thing for furnaces, fuel and the net effect of heat in the house, eh? Soldier on! Next winter will find you back in the desert heat.
Oh we know how nice it is there in Desert Hot Springs.
DeleteJust looking at that great weather warms us up.
Desert heat and dry, love it.
I'm really lucky, because I AM in Yuma, AZ at Mittry Lake. Couldn't be prettier - I wish you and Suzie were here too. Next year... Although the weather forecast has been for hot weather here, yesterday and today we've had some partial cloud cover and light breezes, so it's been just perfect. It's been a really good winter. You're getting lots of good Karma right now, though, and that's a good thing. :) PS - I love salmon and I love dill sauce. That dinner must have been fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Barbara for all the great Karma, and so glad you are having perfect weather. Thats why we love the south west, even at it's worse it is still much better than here.
DeleteGlad you enjoyed dinner with us, very tasty.
