Where are we today ?
New Hamburg Ontario Canada
But I did get my morning country drive to Plattsville as usual (great for clearing my head and thinking) and catch the sunrise. Chat with the guys and back home here by 8:30 am.
Back to New Hamburg and follow the snow plough down the road |
also stopped by our Rv to pick up a few more needed items, looks pretty cold there. |
Back to the house shovel a bit of snow and chat with their neighbors, giving an update. Then whip up supper. Too cold for me to be out by our Weber Q so a tasty stir fry, lean pork and a whole mess on veggies and some Ramon noodles added to the mix, very tasty.
we did get a nice sunset while cooking supper too |
ready to go |
few minutes later Done! yummy |
From before sunup until sundown we got things done, now time to put our feet up for a few minutes, enjoy the fire place here and maybe even watch a tv show for a few minutes before we fall asleep. The Tv does that ya know!
Glad you could drop on by again for a peek. Hope y'all had a good day too. Preferably warmer than here.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this past Winter.
I love everything but the Ramen noodles... how much sodium do those blasted thing have, anyway? I know... they got my son through college... but here we are... in our 70's... have to watch our BP.... so prepared foods and those wonderful Ramen noodles just won't get it for us now. What's a woman to do?
ReplyDeleteSharon with the Ramon noodles all the sodium is in the package of flavor that you add, we don't use that package add my own spices so basically sodium free.
DeleteI made a stir fry tonight with pork as well. Too funny, but I used Thai noodles instead, just let them soak a few minutes and add them to the stir fry. Works great. and Pineapple and teriaki. Great minds think alike I guess. :)
ReplyDeleteThere ya go it was very tasty, I am using up the food stuffs here in the house, so various different meals are happening.
DeleteAre you two still reading as much as before?
ReplyDeleteThe fireplace looks very inviting.
I have read my Kobo about 15 minutes in the last month, Suzie not much more, not really much time.
DeleteThe fireplace does look inviting...always loved to have a fire going in the old sticks and bricks. Hang in there you two!
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice gas fireplace downstairs in the family room, a real fireplace upstairs in the living room. We have choices.
DeleteSorry George, you are having a long, cold winter, but family comes first. We would and have done the same.
ReplyDeleteThanks Croft but we will get things done here and straightened out.
DeleteAt least you are in a nice warm house. Being in an RV when it's as cold as that outside would be hard. Take care of yourselves.
ReplyDeleteMuch too cold here to be in the RV, a full hookup campground would be doable, but nothing close enough here thats open.
DeleteGlad to see you're keeping busy, George - and warm too. Sure looks cold back in Ontario.
ReplyDeleteYep its cold, and we are able to keep mostly warm.
DeleteAnd pretty busy as well.
Well, looks like I have to find my wok again.
ReplyDeleteSold my wok years ago and miss it the odd time, a large fry pan works pretty good though.
DeleteI am with Croft's comment. You have to do what you have to do. And we would do the very same too.
ReplyDeleteYes that's just the way it is.
DeleteWe love stir-fry and that is that is what we had for dinner last night as well! :-)

We usually save cooking inside for days its not great to be outside with our Weber Q.
DeleteDon't feel bad, nothing much new here in SC either! ;c)
ReplyDeleteNo problem.
DeleteThats the way it is being in one place for a long time.
Looks quite similar to here. Snow everywhere. I just learned we got 76'' at home. That's a lot and it is not the end of it. Stay warm. Love stir fries in all variations!
ReplyDeleteWe can't complain too much about the weather, could always be worse.
DeleteYes we do enjoy the stir fries just don't do a that many of them lately.
