Where are we today ?
New Hamburg Ontario Canada
First thing this morning heading into Plattsville, Grandson number 4 has a hockey practice at 8:30 am. But when I opened the door notice we had a few inches of snow overnight, yuk!
No problem fired up the snow blower after brushing off the car and quickly cleared the driveway and sidewalks.
not a great drive |
Checked out the practice and chatted with his dad and daughter number 2 for a bit then back home to pick up Suzie for the the 10:30 game for Grandson number 1.
Back for the game and it was awesome. They defeated the New Hamburg Team 4-1
, first time this season !
We had abite for lunch then Suzie and her Dad headed into the hospital to visit her Mom. I puttered around for a while did some more snow blowing and actually had time to whip around the corner again for a bit. Indoor track I did 1.5 miles today before I ran out of time. That's 18 laps on the indoor track not real exciting but better than not walking.
Worked out great when I was done Suzie heading back home, I began making supper. For me a pan fried catfish fillet with a light coating of roasted garlic and butter fish crisp. Fried in coconut oil and a bit of EVOO so very tasty.
excellent fish |
great for the fish |
Suzie's breaded chicken with broccoli and cheese |
But ya know tonight gonna be COLD!! This is getting ridiculous gonna feel like -42c tonight and ya now that is -43 f way too cold for us snow birds, actually too cold for any of us.
-42c is -43F |
At least we are toasty warm here, nice fire place, warm quilts and each other, we doing just fine.
Just wanna thank ya'll for stopping by again and any warm pics of your southern places are more than welcome. Spring will soon be here right?
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this past Winter.
I can't even imagine trying to get around in those conditions! You sure are hardy souls and I'm sure your families appreciate all you are doing. But.... brrrrrrrr
ReplyDeleteBrrrr.. is right but we don't stay outside for too long.
DeleteEven though I would hate to live in your present environment - I still enjoy the pics of the snow. Where does the water go when the snow melts? Is it channeled away for reuse?
ReplyDeleteThe snow does look pretty its just the weather that brings it is not nice.
DeleteWhen the snow melts it goes to the rivers, lake, in the ground for the water table and good for the farmers crops.
That cold front you are having is hitting us down here in southern Florida. With the dampness it feels colder than it is.
ReplyDeleteKeep Safe and Enjoy Staying Warm!
It's about time.
Its still much warmer there than here.
DeleteI can barely look at those temps!
ReplyDeleteWe not crazy about them either.
DeleteOh my, now that is C O L D! Stay close and keep warm.
ReplyDeleteWe not going too far right now.
DeleteThose road conditions look awful. I 'specks I'd be staying home !!
ReplyDeleteNot great driving just need to adjust you driving habits, and winter tires that I wish we still had.
DeleteGrin and bare it George. Not much you can do about the weather; other than putting the nose of your coach heading toward to the US southwest. We have been living in fantastic low 90's temperatures.
ReplyDeleteIt is another life experience and wish we were still down there across the road from you guys. Not happening anymore this spring.
DeleteIs the snow ever going to stop accumulating up there. I thought you said a few weeks ago that spring was just around the corner. Well, we're still waiting for it to get to you.
ReplyDeleteOnly 32 days until spring, and at some point the snow will stop and maybe even warm up too!
DeleteCan't believe it's gettin' that cold in ON. Over here out west we got it mild again. (+1C)
ReplyDeleteIf its getting warm there it will be coming this way soon.
DeleteOutside of the bit of snow it looked like a nice morning hockey practice. Great you have the indoor track available to keep up your walks. Your fish looked and sounded awesome! Hope you have a Great Sunday! Would luv if we could pass some of this 80 degree weather your way.
ReplyDeleteThanks Allen, we will take all you can give us, please.
DeleteYour fish looks totally awesome (to quote the younger generation!). If you need photos from warmer places, check out my last post:

Thanks Barbara , yes the fish was awesome.
DeleteAnd I do read your postings and look at your pictures, just keep doing it!
It must be killing you now looking at your blog header picture where you're wearing t-shirts and shorts! ;c)
ReplyDeleteWell not so much, we have had 9 winters south and summer soon be here, we also plan many more winters south so this is just a little blurp in our plans. Heck it can always be worse.
