Where are we today ?
Colder today and some freezing rain off and on but we are keeping busy, not a problem here. As usual I am up, mobile and well rested long before the sunrise. Got coffees, and computing done, moved all of the Office stuff from the basement ( had to disassemble and reassemble) Suzie is an amazing woman helping me, (exceptional strength when it is needed for such a tiny woman) to the spare room upstairs then shortly before 9 am took a nice country drive to the garage in Plattsville, hang out with the guys for a bit and clear my head.
snow blowing pretty good this morning |
but no traffic, thats why we enjoy the country living |
Now back at the house finished staging the spare room to look like an office, Suzie can use this while we are here.
looks like an office yes?
After a light lunch I drove her Dad to the hospital in Kitchener to give her a break, a Grand daughter will bring him home. I picked up a few groceries and some light bulbs, and re caulked around the bathtub so it looks pretty and clean.
Buy now its 4:30 pm time to quit working don't want to go into overtime ya know. No bonus for that here. So now I can have more fun whip up supper. Grill some chicken thighs (my super hot sauce on my chicken, really love that stuff), tomato and yellow pepper, added to our salad with lotsa stuff and we are not going to starve.
our Weber Q just purring away in the garage, of course the garage door is open a tad |
great meal after a productive day |
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this past Winter.
Nice office! How spacious..... I'd like working there. However... those snowy roads sure turn me off... nice to look at from a cozy house window, but drive in? Oh No!
ReplyDeleteNicer than the office we had in our House that Suzie worked out of, but this is only to declutterd the basements and make the room look nice.
DeleteThat sure does look like an office. Does that mean there will be (Gasp!!!) work done there? :cO
ReplyDeleteHeaven forbid, no real work, that she gets paid for , just to sit at while she does our financials in the morning.
DeleteI'll sure be glad when you start showing pictures without all that snow. Hopefully you don't have to drive on those roads too often or too far.
ReplyDeleteThe snow won't be gone for quite a while yet.
DeleteWe are out every day, but so far the furthest is either Kitchener or Stratford about 30 minutes each way.
"took a nice country drive" - I dunno - by the looks of that first pic it wouldn't be a nice country drive for me.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice and peaceful, no traffic made it real nice.
DeleteHappy to post nice desert photos. We will keep them coming.
ReplyDeleteYes please do love them...
DeleteHow far is the drive to pick up Suzie's dad and then tot the hospital? Will post sun photos for you both ASAP.
ReplyDeleteHer Dad is only two blocks away from here and the hospital about a 30 minute drive each way, on the highway at 90 K (55 mph).
DeleteThe office looks great!
ReplyDeleteWe grilled in the garage during the winter when we had our land house...hang in there!
Works for me, I never had a garage in our house, so was not an option there.
DeleteGood idea to setup the Weber Q in the garage, George!
ReplyDeleteSure beats standing outside in the cold and snow.
