Below we can see the crops being harvested by hand.
canals by the roads for irrigatuion |
all set up and ready for lunch |
The pool looked inviting, even got Suzie to join me (rare occasion !). Perfect temperature and so refreshing.
we even enjoyed reading our books on the pool deck for a while |
this is the shady side of our coach, sunny side , under the awning is 115f ! |
We did get a couple hours reading enjoying our books, then time to fire up our Weber Q.
Baby back ribs simmered in sauerkraut, taters in foil with onions, and a quick grill of broccoli sure hit the spot.
Just another fun day here in Arizona, enjoying this great weather as long as we can, before we head back on home still real cold there....
Hope you had a great day too, thanks for stopping on by.

Evening, George .... again the sauerkraut and ribs.. never had such but it surely does look good. AND we had 71 degrees today! yay! don't care for for anything near 102 ... glad you like it... nice place
ReplyDeleteWe can always cool down, in the shade with a book or in the pool, hate being cold.
DeleteSpring is around the corner and it's getting close to the time to meander towards home. Isn't it great when you can "meander" instead of having to rush?
ReplyDeleteLove meandering...we have the time.
DeleteWe liked the Yuma Lakes. Temperatures are starting to improve in Texas so you aren't going to have the nasty temperatures you saw on your way through a few months ago.
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice spot here.
DeleteNow that is a good thing, its about time things warmed up there.
Tell me about the ribs and sauerkraut
ReplyDeleteThey are so good, recipe is on my recipe Blog, top right side bar.
DeleteIs 21 miles the least you've traveled in a day? I think once we went 9 miles... somewhere in Pennsylvania... can't remember why. Isn't it great to take your time?
ReplyDeleteOur shortest travel day was in Desert Hot springs last month. 1.2 miles from Catalina Spa to Desert Pools resort.
DeleteHaving not been to southern AZ, I'm amazed at the amount of agriculture there. You folks sure eat well on the road. I like your short drives - I think 200 miles is my least.
ReplyDeleteWe have been on the road since '06 and enjoy our food.
DeleteSo easy to make a nice meal when we take our time.
We will be getting some long travel days soon.
I could never ever pack up and travel 21 miles. Our shortest is Yuma to Quartzsite. That is pretty hight temps for March, wonder what we will do come April!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a problem with short travel days. We do it as often as possible it only takes a few minutes to secure our coach and away we go.
DeleteJust another great Arizona day, glad you are enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteJust loving every minute of it !
DeleteI'm in Tucson and the temps are in the high 70's, Perfect weather! As always, enjoyed looking at "what's for dinner."
ReplyDeleteGotta love this weather, thanks for enjoying our meals.
DeleteTough to leave the wonderful southwest US weather, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt sure is going to be tough thats for sure.
