Hot, sunny, and met up with Sassy again, what a fun day !

Where are we today ?
Warm hot and sunny, thats why we here and think we should stay in this area much longer, why ?Just because we can. Looks pretty cold east, north and and southeast of here. So what to do? what to do? Plans are written in chalk so we change them on a daily basis.
In the meantime lets just enjoy this, walkabouts, read in the shade , chat with a few people sure beats that cold and white stuff in other places.
just enjoying our books in the shade
We had been in touch with a fellow blogger and rv'er Denise. You might know her as Sassy's on Da Road . well she just happens to dry camping right behind our resort on the BLM land for a couple nights.  We met her in Quartzsite about a month ago and thought it would be nice to meet up again before we head in own directions.
So we agreed to pick her up, check out her class A toy hauler and her new (to her) toad. The cutest little tracker you have ever seen name of Ms. Daisy.
We got to meet Bennie and Suzie got her doggie fix.
her beautiful Harley all secure in the back
Ms Daisy, all hooked up and ready to go, a nice looking toy hauler.
So we piled in our car and headed into Yuma, just a few miles to Lin's Chinese Restaurant and Buffet . Wow, we have been to  few Buffets and will tell you this one is huge! Very busy and the food selection was amazing. One of the largest we have ever seen and very reasonably priced too.
Today I had so much free time not preparing supper, that I actually finished another book, and vacuumed our car hmm.... was almost lost for a while.
a short wait and we were seated.
Now just grab a plate and browse. So many things to try and all fresh, sushi, salads, deserts, grilled steaks, seafood constantly they were filling the trays with fresh food. I tried to sample everything but is really impossible, but I sure made a good attempt. These buffets are not good for me, beyond my portion controlled meals.
ohh so good fresh and hot
We leisurely lingered with our meals, and had a great time chatting and enjoying each others company. Then a couple hours later time to head back home, drop off Denise and say so long for now to her and Bennie. See ya on down the road again no doubt, and to travel safe.
another nice desert sunset from her site
Our first wonderful day in this area and looks like the weather is only going to get better.
Thanks for stopping on by and enjoying our day with us.

  2. You can only eat at those buffets frequently. It's so easy to over eat. I know. I usually do that when there. Love those warm summer days. We're thinking we left for Texas way too soon ... way too soon.

    1. We don't do Buffets very often at all, but so this was a treat.
We were gonna head that way now too, but decided to wait as long as we can.

  3. Nice day, George. I'm curious, has Suzie thought of having her own special dog? She certainly does love her "dog fixes." Boy that Class A is a pretty RV. I spent a couple of hours at Camping World in Anthony, TX/NM waiting for a repair job on my Fleetwood Flair, visiting the new RVs in the showroom and out in front of the building. Hmmm, now if I'd get rid of the stix house I could . . .

    1. We have thought about a small dog, but with this lifestyle she gets to play with lots of them with out the responsibility and we still have the freedom to not worry about a pet.
We foun d the perfect coach, sold the stix and bricks back on '06 six and have not turned back, love it!

  4. We don't visit buffets much. We always over eat and regret it later.

    1. We usually avoid them but this was a special occasion, and we actually don't feel too bad, took a Pepcid AC first though, that really helps.

  5. Nice that you got to see Denise one more time. Good decision on staying longer, the weather is just not cooperating.

  6. We went to Lin's one time when we were there and it was fabulous. But we don't do buffets very often either. I think you're smart to stick around Yuma for a few more days at least until that weather starts to clear up further east.

We will stay here as long as we can. Just makes for a few longer travel days.

  9. can't believe how many posts I've missed ... caught up and beautiful weather and gorgeous Class A! and ALWAYS ... the foooooood ....

I do buffets because I like the variety ... yeah right... haha... I know that's what all fat people say, but it's true... PLUS I will sit and watch other fat people eat and it makes me NOT eat so much. dead serious. you ever watch a fat person eat?

    we are pathetic.... !
