The Pinery Flea Market for a few more books and stuff.

Where are we today ?
Arkona Ontario
Another great sunny warm morning and today we want to get back to  the Pinery Flea Market in Grand Bend. Only open on Sundays as most of our followers know try to visit nearly every Sunday when we are in the area. A sunny hot day perfect for wandering up and down the rows in the shade.
The Pinery welcome truck parked by the highway,
Police directing traffic on the hiway.
Another new vendor hustling lint brushes, on his soapbox and shouting his spiel, amazing how many people by these "great deals ! "
wanna buy lint brushes $29.00 for three !
fresh made mini donuts
Our first stop is to make our way to John's books the only vendor that does a book exchange, today we brought 12 novels to exchange and he let us choose 8. That lightens the load a bit now we can wander about for more deals.
finding her books
my favourite vendor for xtra hot pepperettes
lotsa fresh veggies
Our bargains for today an new pair of knock off crocs for six bucks, our eight free books, but the most important my extra hot pepperettes, that was $20. but last me a long time. Maybe even two bags for Lea when we are back to New Hamburg later this week.
Now back home our friends John and Wendy as well as Bill and Carol finished packing up their rvs, we said goodbye, until we meet again, travel safe and they were on their way. A little quieter here now we enjoyed reading in the shade for the rest of the afternoon. Then fired up our Weber for some grilled chicken, with very tasty farm fesh corn on the cob and field tomatoes, so good.
yummy
Outside to read for a bit after supper then a walkabout, stop and chat with a few people, then  spotted a campfire with a bunch of people. We crashed this party for a bit, met everybody in the group. Apparently it was a birthday party for Joe, the park manager.
Happy Birthday Joe

A nice visit here, gave Joe birthday wishes then headed home so we could have an earlier night than we have had all week.
Thanks you for taking the time to read, have a great day.

  1. Looks like that market would definitely be a lot of fun. When I was buying tons of books I always took them to book exchanges too. That was the only way to get new ones and not have to pay a lot for them. The price of new books now can be really expensive considering how fast we zoom through them.

    1. No new books for us, there is so many used book stores and exchanges that we can always find good reading material for next to nothing.

  3. Looked like it made for a nice Sunday morning. Your reminding me of the College of the Desert Street Fair. Some nice looking corn you cooked up there, perfect with that chicken. Enjoy your week!

    1. Not quite as upscale as the COD street fair but lotsa fun. Corn was excellent.
