Where are we today ?
Woke up early this morning to the soothing sound of rain on the roof of our coach. It was so nice and refreshing for a change. Overcast and rainy most of the day. Perfect timing because we had a few chores to do. Defrost our fridge and clean it out, then our florescent light over the sink burned out, I checked at the store in the park, no tubes here but can order one in for you if you like, maybe later I said. Suzie sorted the laundry and I headed to the laundromat in town letting the machine do the work, while I read my book, like these laundromats. Next door was the hardware store, so I checked there for the RV light and amazingly they had one in stock, bonus!
A couple hours later I return with the laundry, and Suzie had vacuumed, washed floors and dusted, wow like a new house. Helped make the bed then we were able to sit outside for a while and read a bit more until time for supper.
Cleaning out the freezer earlier I found a nice piece of leftover pork loin roast, stuffed with bacon, sausage and spinach (see recipe tab above if you want). Well the microwave did nice job of reheating this while I boiled a few new potatoes and couple more cobs of excellent corn.
|it heated up just perfect|
A package of very tasty mushroom gravy to drizzle over top and we had an awesome meal.
Afterwards we relaxed out side with our books for a while, and had a nice visit with a very nice lady from this campground. She has been here since 1974 and has so many interesting stories to tell. We don't get to chat with her very often but she stayed until dark before we decided time to call it a night and retire inside.
I can post the blog and even watch a bit of tv and still get to bed at a decent time, after all we have had a busy couple of weeks.
Thanks for stopping by again and hope you had a good day too.
