Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

Gotta love sunny Arizona, even when it's cold it doesn't feel too bad, in the desert its a dry cold (just like the dry heat in the summer), with the sun shining it sure helps. Overnight was 20f (-5c) so we disconnected our water hose, just to be safe. I did not drain all the water out thou so this morning we had a 25 foot straight frozen hose. I dragged it around to our sunny patio and it thawed out quickly.
ice by the water tap
A morning walkabout and chat with a few people, mentioning the weather, but like ourselves it's a lot better here than other parts of the country. And what makes it interesting is its the coldest for the this date in over 80 years.
nice ride
After a bite to eat we took a drive to Picacho Peak resort 30 minutes away to visit some friends out there for a bit. Visiting with Steve,Barb, Jan, Spud, and even saw Dorothy(we ran into in Mazatlan last winter), chatting, catching up with each other its always nice to meet up with old friends for a while. Too cold to sit out side there because of the open spaces and wind, so a few short inside visits.

Back home we have the sunshine on our patio and no wind so were able to enjoy some outside fresh air and sunshine for a while before supper.
warm here
For tonight I had picked up a spaghetti squash and thought we would have that with some Porcupine Meatballs.
spaghetti squash
Well, while assembling the meatballs and ingredients I had managed to add 1 cup of water instead of 1/4 cup and did not realize it until I tried to form the meatballs (too late now). So I did the best  but when the meatballs were cooked in the spaghetti sauce they became unformed. They tasted pretty good but now its more of a meat and rice spaghetti sauce, served over a nice spaghetti squash.
tasty
Now we can relax, chat, read and a bit of tv after another great day.
