Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer, 

 since August 2006

      It was milder last night here in Casa Grande, but we had already put our hoses away last night, so I would not have to do it the cool morning air. (its also hard to store a frozen hose.) Bright and sunny and with computing, morning coffees and puttering about we are packed up and on the road by 9:00am. We are heading to Benson Arizona.

      This is about a 2 hour drive but we will take 3. Stop for fuel at the Flying J in Eloy and as we come into Benson the Xpress Lube shop is open so we will stop here for an oil change and grease job on our coach. We have been stopping here 2 times a year since 2006 and they are a very efficient and friendly bunch of guys. No appointment, quick and reasonably priced.

      We checked into Valley Vista Resort, ate lunch and got set up on our site. While doing so a neighbour dropped by and introduced himself, he is from Mount Forest Ontario not far from where we call home.  Nice and bright and sunny here but a bit cooler and windy, we are at a higher elevation and no cement wall behind our coach. After this I ran into town for some groceries and saw in the parking lot a trailer with two horses, something you don't see much of in large cities. Gotta love small towns.

      Then back home to putter around a bit, then a very tasty supper and one we both love "liver and onions" with creamy mashed potatoes, asparagus, a drizzle of "au jus" and a fresh potato roll.  When I had my restaurant liver was a huge seller whenever I put it on special, usually one half of a couple hated it or was not allowed to cook at home. No problem here.

       Now to relax, chat a bit, read and a bit of tv.

      As we are heading east we are running into cooler weather, but will just take our time and enjoy different places and people along the way and try for warmer weather before we get back to Ontario.
