Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
since August 2006
Cold nights good for sleeping, below freezing so we disconnect our water, but the sun comes up and heats everything to about 75 f. (19c). So we putter about and walkabout enjoying each day as the sun and cloudless blue skies do their magic warming everything up for us. This morning a bit of shopping early and we went to the two bookstores in town to exchange, but they were closed, Presidents Day weekend.

Back home the sun was on our patio no wind and quite hot, so open the awning and set up our chairs to relax and read. As the mood strikes me between chapters I putter about a bit more, put the BBQ and tables away, empty our holding tanks and put away the hoses, we are "on the road" in the morning heading east and south into Texas along I-10. I even had time to soak in the hot tub and swam in the very warm pool for a while, so nice.
We have been here a week and so far have resisted the Broaster Chicken at the service station only 100 yards from us. Seeing as this is our last night here we treated ourselves to their chicken and fries, its soo good as long as you order it fresh made, I order at 4:00 for 5:30 pickup and they were just packaging it up when I returned. We even have enough left for a supper on the road, it came with potato salad too.
