Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American friends, another day to reflect on how blessed we are to be enjoying this wonderful lifestyle. Our good health, lovely families and friends.
Did get a few very nice walkabouts this park a couple miles in and a nice sunrise before 9 am sure feels good in the warm sunshine and cloudless blue skies.

Back home we enjoying the outside weather and chatted with Jean and Skip for a while , more catching up. Then time for a light lunch.
At 2:15 we headed to the large clubhouse at the back for our Thanksgiving dinner at 3 pm. It was a free potluck the campground cooked 3 turkeys , 2 bone in hams and supplied gravy. the rest was potluck.

it was all excellent, no way to sample everything, but I tried! |

Finally just after 4 pm we rolled outta there and drive the short distance home, Just to plop ourselves in our lawn chairs,and enjoy some more relaxing reading in the shade on this amazing day.

Still nice out side for a while so bundled up, sweaters, socks and long pants then continue to enjoy this outside fresh air. Posting this blog and some more quality reading time. What's not to love about that?
That was our wonderful second Thanksgiving celebration this year. And was excellent as usual. Hope y'all had a great one as well.

ReplyDeleteWe have noticed some "barn quilts" on our drive through, Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia. They are now becoming quite the "thing".

Campgrounds look like a great place to be for Thanksgiving dinner - I guess no too plates of food look the same.

ReplyDeleteWe drove back because we had coolers, and more stuff to carry so was much easier. However I did walk the park a few times and logged on 3.5 miles yesterday as I do most days.
