Then I walked down to the beach right here at Lea lake . What a wonderful beach area. Cannot imagine how crowded it would be here in the hot summer months. This lake is 90 feet deep !

A bit more walking just enjoying the area and the quiet campground.
This morning we wanted to go to Roswell and check out the
UFO Museum and Research Centre, just because we could. So into Roswell we went. Gotta check out these Alien invasions .
We found the museum and enjoyed all the info and things that we saw. Not sure after all we read and saw if this actually happened or was a government cover up.
But heck I am a sic-fi freak anyway so it sure was a fun time and really got you thinking about what really happened some 70 years ago (2 Years before I was born).
No matter it was a fun experience and only $3,00 each for us seniors.

We saw parts of this movie on the theatre here |
Now after here down the road to the airport. We heard from Len that they paint and refurbish large airplanes here. So we had to check it our while we were here.

About 3 pm Brenda and Len joined us for happy hour And once again we shared a lot of stores had a few laughs and got to know each other. Another part of this lifestyle that we enjoy!
Cooling down then they headed home and we can make our supper tonight . We gonna grill a couple of Turkey Garlic sausage we brought from Ontario (that we love) add to to our salad and really enjoyed a very tasty supper.

Where have we been this winter ?
two years ago, the woman on whose ranch the UFO incident occurred was still living in the assisted living facility in Roswell. Her story was in the papers of the time, and though her memory was not complete when I talked with her, she said it was all real. She was an interesting woman.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that it was real, Sure would have been nice to talk with this woman.
DeleteSomething happened in Roswell that the government is not admitting to, and it is not the only place unexplained things happened.
ReplyDeleteI do believe that as well Croft, and am sure the government hs done a lot of coverups.
DeleteCan't beat that price on the Alien Museum. Looks like money well spent to have a fun tour. :c)
ReplyDeleteIt was a wonderful price and a very fun tour.
DeleteThose are some deep lakes! I wonder how they got so deep in that area.
ReplyDeleteVery deep for small lakes, apparently they were sink holes that filled with water from the underground streams.
DeleteOkay, just discovered I have the same bbq. I'm going to start using it more. Next time I see that mat, I'm buying it.
ReplyDeleteHaving a Weber Q is best way to begin great grilling, enjoy.
DeleteRoswell is one of our favorite towns.
ReplyDeleteOur first time here and we are enjoying it.
DeleteHow interesting. I wonder if those planes are similar to the ones in Tucson. Instead of getting repaired are they being stored and airlines hoping to sell or keeping around for parts?
ReplyDeleteIt looks similar to that one in Arizona , but a local fellow told me that they repair and fix them here.
DeleteWe've driven through Roswell a couple of times heading for Carlsbad Caverns but have never stopped. After seeing the museum and the fact that it's not price gouging we'll stop next time. Thanks for sharing the pics. Nice that you've got some new friends at the park, always fun. The lakes are beautiful and so is the sunset. Dinner once again looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks it was a fun day and the Aliens very interesting , for the price we enjoyed it.
DeleteAs Ken and Shirley said, if they don't price gouge it is worth a gander for sure. Sounds like a nice state park and much more reasonable to stay there than in Utah or Colorado.
ReplyDeleteKeep on enjoying!
Thanks we will, the price is right for these NM state parks and so very beautiful as well. Glad we came here.
DeleteEnjoyed your blog today, looks like a neat place to visit!
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking us out again, glad you enjoyed it, a neat place for sure.
DeleteI love a good ufo story. To think we are the only ones in this universe is ludicrous....
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter it is a very interesting theory and the stories wonderful and thought provoking.
DeleteThe campground and beach area look wonderful. Definitely a park we would love. :-)
ReplyDeletewww.travelwithkevinandruth.com
It is a wonderful place to camp especially off season.
DeleteGlad you enjoyed the Museum and Park as much as we did. It truly does have you reconsider what you were taught growing up.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
This came ground is awesome we love it. And the aliens , love that too.
DeleteOoooh what a great place to camp! Of course you can't go to Roswell and not check out the aliens! How are those lakes so deep? The lake I live on is 60 feet at its deepest. Or so the internet says.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is a wonderful park and area. The Aliens very interesting as well. This lakes are sink holes and parts of them very deep because of that.
DeleteGreat stories of all those aliens!
ReplyDeleteYes it sure was very interesting and fun too.
DeleteEvening George, I was just writing about Roswell myself. I didn't read any blogs this morning as we were up and out early. I'm pretty excited to go there, always been fascinated by that stuff..
ReplyDeleteHi Katie, It was an interesting place to visit we sure enjoyed it. And the Bottomless lake State park very nice and reasonable .
