Where are we today ?
Got up this morning slept in until way late like 6 am, snuggly warm in bed. Looks kinda chilly outside with a cool north wind, about 55f (14c), but by 9:30 am was getting colder, so we decided a good day to take a quick trip to Strathroy for a few things. Been a year since we last checked out the town. Suzie bought a few new clothes and I looked about picking up a few food stuffs to stock up our cupboards.By the time we got home much colder, look at the temps below at 2:25pm! And a north wind at 21 mph.
The lunch craving today was a submarine sandwich. I had picked up the proper fixings to make an awesome assorted sub like I used to make in my restaurant years ago, just hit the spot.
tasty sub for lunch |
Then I hooked up "Mr Heater" again, that I had mistakenly put away last week thinking the cold weather was over, NOT! Sure heats us pretty quick, no furnace noise and much more efficient. comforter back on the bed for a few more nights again.
Mr. Heater working fine again! |
Reading outside today was not an option nor was doing much else so just did some investigating on our Microsoft Streets and Trips map and Google Earth to see where we might head this winter. Suzie has put together a master map to work with has all of our membership parks (few hundred of them), flying J's, BLM lands, certain rest areas, Camping worlds etc... all places that we can stop at few a stretch, a night or even a week or two. Eventually we will come up with a plan, (no schedule just a leaving date, and that is already set) and plans as any rv'er knows are made in chalk. They sometimes change from day to day even minute to minute, thats what we love about this lifestyle.
Now with my Weber meal put on hold, I can cook inside for a change, waiting for these very cold rainy, windy days to do this indoor stuff. Checked out the freezer and pulled out a couple breaded chicken breasts stuffed with shrimp and lobster, something different for a change, (just pop in the oven) whip up a rice pilaf, fresh asparagus and garlic bread with cheese did the trick, pretty quick and easy.
sure hit the spot |
Supper done later than usual (late lunch) compute a bit and read for a while all snuggly in our house. Yep all is good here, just kinda colder than we like it. And did actually get a few walkabouts in the cold after walking the stores for a coule hours too.
That looks like another fun day with Ontario's unpredictable weather, not much we can do about it and can always be a lot worse. No tornadoes or snow lately.
Thanks for stopping in and hope you can keep yourself warm enough in this almost summer weather?

Well not bad for no Weber. Never tried a breaded chicken breast stuffed with shrimp and lobster, sounds and looks good. Boy, you aren't kidding about Ontario weather changing fast. Well, doing turkey burgers on my Weber right now. Have a great evening.
ReplyDeleteTurkey burgers sound great, enjoy. Miss my Weber already!
DeleteWish you were here to join us!
DeleteNow that would be fantastic. Someday we will be coser.
DeleteWe are suppose to get down to about 38 tonight. Crazy weather. I think you jinxed yourself by putting away that heater.
ReplyDeleteHmm, could be, but it was such wonderful weather.
DeleteCould always be worse!
We are having perfect weather here, guess that makes up for the weather we had on our way up through Colorado and Wyoming. Around 22-24C in the day and about 10-12C at night. Perfect for working outside. Hope your weather improves quickly.
