Where are we today ?
So now now with another awesome day of weather, sunshine, clear skies and temperatures in the mid 80's F (30c) with humidity close to 100f (38C) it really does not get any better.
Today at 1 pm we are looking forward to a Google + Hangout with Rick Doyle, fellow blogger and rv'er we have been following for a few years but never met in person. They live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia Canada and spend the winter in Desert Hotsprings California. Maybe we will catch up this winter.
Rick is a real computer guy and the purpose of the hangout was a video chat with 9 other people to show us all the in's and outs of Google +. But our internet connection apparently was to slow and cutting in and out to participate. I did manage to get on for a few seconds but finally had to give up. Would have been an informative bunch with most of us Bloggers never having ever met but read each other's blogs.
a screen shot of the one time I connected |
I was trying to connect, but to no avail |
Suzie got her dog fix |
this area behind us is all empty now |
the valley empty too |
now relaxing in the shade enjoying our books |
almost done |
every thing was perfect, our Weber Q came thru again. and then Suzie did the dishes. |
The plan was maybe a campfire but skies are overcast tonight and besides we had a nice one last night, after I posted our blog, with a great sunset too.
nice fire |
last night's sunset |
Mike, Trish, Jordan and Maggie stopped by again after supper just before the skies turned black and winds picked up (about 8:30) Glad we had our campfire last night. Also had Rob (owner, manager of the resort) and his daughter stop by to wish be Happy birthday as well.
Thanks for stopping in and hope you enjoyed your long (or short) weekend as much as we did.

ReplyDeleteSorry your Internet connection failed today but I'm sure we'll catch you next time.
I put our Weber Q to good use tonight grilling up steaks - all in honour of your Birthday, of course!!
That pension will be a nice bonus.
DeleteInterent can be finicky at the best of times, maybe another day.
Gotta love cooking on the Weber, thanks for celebrating with me.
Here is another Happy Birthday greeting to you George. Here is hoping you don't get all the nastyweather that is being forecasted for the next few days. Be Safe and Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteLove it when Canada can celebrate my birthday!
DeleteHappy Birthday a bit late. Missed you at the hangout. Something happened with my connection. At first it was perfect, then suddenly, I could hear but not see what was happening. I would guess operator error here.
