More cold and more shopping for Suzie and great deal on her new shoes.

Where are we today ?
Was another cold day again!!! But we have a plan, Suzie needs some new shoes and off to London Ontario this morning shortly after 9:30am.
The plan was to check out Payless shoes then Walmart and a few other stores. Now you have to know that Suzie hates shopping! She only shops when she wants something and does not waste any time looking. (love this woman~!) Payless did not have the shoes she wanted in her size. Friendly clerk asked and checked that they had the size in another store. Take this coupon and get $6.00 off, just because. So off we go to the other store only 5  minutes down the road at Maisonville Mall.
Now we do not shop much, let alone in the big cities and shopping malls. So down the road we go couple miles.

Bonus here farmers market to check out. Nothing we need so in thru the BAY into the mall.
Taking us country people into a shopping mall is frightening.
Wander about for a while looking everywhere, not wanting to be here but we finally found the Payless shoe store.
the mall was pretty quiet, just the way we like it
Found the store and they had her shoes put away for her. Now here is where we got the deal. Regular price was $39.99 on sale for $16.99 but now we had a coupon for $6.00 off because we hd to come to another store. The exact shoes she was looking for and ended up paying only $10.99 !  Now how can you beat a deal like that?
Suzies' new shoes
By this time was well after noon and we need a bite to eat. A nice treat for us was the food court here and check out the A and W. Have not been there for years.

Two Mama burgers for 5 bucks, a small fry and small root beer about ten bucks, then a bonus free sample of their NEW sweet potatoe fries. Another good deal and great lunch. People watching too in the huge food court.
tasty lunch
Now back home mid afternoon beautiful and sunny, but a very cold north wind. So griiling on our Q is not really an option again. Plan B in action lets make a pot of homemade chili.
north wind to the left of our rig protected by that cabin but still
about 30 mph (50kph)
Ended up with a huge pot of chili what to do?? Well power is out in the park from 2pm until 8pm. No big deal for us we have solar and lotsa propane. So invited Mike ,Trish, Jordan and their friend Ray for supper. Ray was showing off his new Camero, Trish driving and I even got to take it for a spin too.
Trish smiling
me driving his cool new car
Chili done, everybody inside for a bite to eat, chat and even a pecan tart for desert. Hopefully every body had enough to eat. Better than nothing when the power is out I guess.
dinner time in our house
even Maggie had a bite to eat too
So there another almost quiet day here at our house, this cold weather does not keep us down, thats for sure.
Hope you had a good day too. Thanks for stopping by.

  8. Cold here too, George, and WET, WET, WET! Never buy shoes at Walmart if you want to have them longer than 6 months. Every pair we ever bought there was showing signs of falling apart after 3 months only. Payless is a good source for shoes though! Hey, I like that Camaro!
