A sunny, (getting warmer) relaxing saturday, awesome!

Where are we today ?

Sunshine and just a bit warmer today but still very windy. 25 mph north wind, gusts to 35 mph but  we are protected buy the cabin on the north side of our site.
So was a pretty good day just puttered around, new connections for our car battery, remove the battery acid build up and degrease the engine in the car. While I was at it, a quick clean of the outside as well. Still looks like a new car even at 11 years old. I guess not spending winters in Canada with no salt on the roads really makes a difference.
Last weekend was our Canadian long weekend and very busy here. This weekend no so much. Few years ago a lot of Americans came here to celebrate the Memorial day long weekend but with the dollar at par not so much any more.
Quiet in the Valley
quiet in the square where we are
car clean and shinny
The sun was shining almost all day and we could relax outside with our books, protected by the north wind right beside this cabin. We love this site.
awesome afternoon
Still windy and wanna fire up our Weber, so a couple make shift wind breaks and we can do it. At least we had sunshine and no rain.
windbreaks in place
For supper had picked up a chicken breast roast wrapped in bacon and thought I would try it out on the Q. Mesquite wood chips and some baked potatoes all went pretty well.

When almost done put some fresh asparagus on the grill for the last 15 minutes and we have a wonder tasty supper.
turned out real tasty and done to perfection,
our Weber Q does it again !
Not many people camping this weekend, (suits us just fine) but the wagon ride still happens, Everybody had fun anyway.
kids enjoy the wagon ride
That was our day, just perfect, no shopping and no crowds just the way we like it.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit, hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.

That, and the fact that it's a Saturn and has plastic body panels!

Great car runs like new even with all those miles on it. Maintenance pays off.
