        What are we celebrating?   An excellent doctor's check up and my birthday.

        We are on a mission today, leave here at 7:30 this morning for our annual doctors' appointments in Stratford. No problem up early as usual, computing done coffees done walkabout done, showers done and on the road. A very cool morning but we have heat in the car and a nice day for a back country drive.
       In time for our Doctor's appointments for the 2 of us at 9 am, then down the road 20 minutes to stop see Suzie's Mom and Dad for a few minutes. They are both doing well.
        Then from here another 30 minute drive to the village of Millbank Ontario (Mennonite country) Suzie taking me out for lunch and one of our very favorite places. Anna Mae's click HERE . Well known Mennonite restaurant famous for their home cooked meals and fresh pies, and amazing pastries. They are also famous for their Broasted Chicken (our favorite), next best that we have found is at Junction Express in Benson Arizona. Though not the healthiest meal its my birthday, my celebration and Suzie loves it too. Besides the doctor was impressed with the improvements in our health so a treat is due to celebrate that and my birthday(moderation right?) We haven't been here since last fall

       Not only are the meals excellent but the fresh baking, breads, buns pies, donuts, cheesecakes its all good.

     We had arrived at 11:45 and only a 5 minute wait, by the time left (1pm) all 4 dining rooms looked like they were full as was the parking lot and a long line up to get in, but its worth it. They seat 175 people.

      After here we began heading back home south through Stratford then west to Dashwood Ontario all beautiful country side on a nice bright sunny day.

Then we entering Ontario's West Coast

         Then into the Village of Dashwood and stop at Hayter's Turkey store. We discovered them last year. They raise and process their turkey products here and. Everything that you can think of made with lean healthy turkey products. Picked up a few items, but only have so much freezer space. We will be back for sure.

        Then a few minutes later to Grand Bend a very touristy town on the beach. We avoided it last weekend (would have been a zoo). But today pretty quiet with a weekday and a cool nw wind, just the way we like it no crowds.

    We finally returned home about 3:30 after a wonderful day cruising the countryside with my honey and getting things done we get to enjoy our reading in the warm afternoon sun.

     Now that was an awesome birthday just me and my honey had an awesome day, it just gets better all the time. I am so lucky to be still around, healthy and beginning my 67th year on this earth.
