Where are we today ?
Wow did we sleep last night after the long sale day, if you missed it the previous posting has lotsa pics and details.. Head hit the pillow then next thing I know I am wide awake at 6 am, much later than usual. And surprisingly my back felt wonderful, guess I followed the docs orders and did it right this time. So enjoying the quiet morning time, posted yesterday's blog and wandered down to the garage for a chat with a few guys.
Then about 9:30 grabbed Suzie and went back to her Dad's house to help him tidy up some left overs that did not sell. I took four car loads to the thrift store only 4 blocks away. And he arranged to have the rest of the few large items picked up Tuesday. So we will Just go thru the house and give it a final vacuum and wash the floors early this week. Easy peasy stuff now.

riding in comfort, notice the seating and headrests, looks like pickup truck almost |
Now right after lunch we took a wonderful country drive to Durham (through Mennonite country) about 1 hour and 40 minutes to get together with some rv friends. It was a surprise 65 th birthday party for Pat, that her husband Rob and daughters put together, and surprised she was. Not everyday you get to have a 65th birthday so why not celebrate. We had to go.
|
this must be the sports model 2 seater bucket seats maybe a trunk for his golf clubs?? |
We arrived at the party shortly before 3 and she was surprised to see us as well as John and Barb from Buckhorn Ontario. The last time we were together was before Christmas at Pilot Knob California.

Birthday Girl in the blue then to the right John and Barb |
|
a very warm day but a few rain sprinkles, the carport gave us good cover |
|
nice river right in front of their house |
Eventually Rob fired up his BBQ (not a Weber) to whip up a bunch of burgers and sausage to go with the salads that the girls made up.
Now this big old guy (John) likes wearing this shirt I am sure he got in Arizona.
|
a very nice spread |
Well here I go again, a sausage on a bun, but did enjoy lotsa veggies and fruit. And just had to have a piece of birthday cake.
|
BBQ season it is |
|
Big smile for her birthday |
|
thus her cake , she is a HUGE Elvis fan |
It was so nice to see them again even if only for a few hours. We headed out shortly after 6 to get back here before dark around 8 pm. A few more rain sprinkles on the road but not too bad.
|
even managed to catch a rainbow too. |
Another fun day we had enjoying this wonderful warm weather and seeing friends too.
Thanks for stopping by and we will see what pops up on our agenda over the next few days. Hope you had a wonderful day too.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this past Winter.
You sure know how to celebrate and you go to plenty of parties to prove it.
ReplyDeleteDon't they say make hay when the sunshines?
DeleteNever know what tomorrow will bring.
If we get invited we like to go.
Attending parties like that is good therapy for your back. It means that you are not working.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
