Where are we today ?
Warmer and sunny today, much nicer than yesterday temperature wise. At least got to wear my shorts and t shirt again.
Made a morning trip to Forest for a few items and stop by the bank. By the time I got bad the Stump remover guys had been at our site and removed 2 huge tree stumps. But Suzie was here and got some pics of the process, very quick and efficient his machine is.

|
in a few minutes and nice pile of mulch |
So I puttered around a bit and a bite for lunch. Then I set to work to polish the dull headlights on our car and our coach. I had picked up the kit below and I can tell you it sure did an amazing job in no time flat. You can see the results below.
|
this kit $20.00 |
|
you can sure see the difference after a few minutes |
Below is our coach, before and after.
|
very pleased with the ease of the process and the final results |
This was done then stopped by Richards to help him fine tune his satellite dish. And then headed up to visit Ron, Lorree, and Freddie with our mutual friends Emile and Monique for a final Happy Hour here with the six of us. Emile and Monique are heading out in the morning, and we will meet up again somewhere down the road again I am sure.

Freddie |
Then time to whip up supper. Tonight a couple cod fillets, fresh asparagus, red peppers and garlic bread on the grill. Add the tasty salad, it sure hit the spot.

our amazing Weber Q 100,does the job |
Supper done and noticed a campfire up the hill behind us. So we grabbed our chairs and a beverage and climb the hill to Joe and Nancy's. Joined them with their Grandson and his girlfriend from Winnipeg, and Harry and Jackie more rv friends. Our first campfire this spring in Ontario, chatting and catching up with friends. Was real nice, later night than normal but sometime we have to suffer to have this much fun. Campfire pics tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by again, always nice to have your company.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.
Sounds like you had another wonderful day. I'm glad they keep coming your way.
ReplyDeleteYes we have been getting pretty lucky so far.
DeleteHm, could use one of those stump removers out in front of the house. Used to be an elm tree, and sadly started to go in 09.
ReplyDeleteHe spent the whole day here removing a few dozen of these tree stumps.
DeleteLooks like that kit did an excellent job on your lenses. We had a couple of stumps ground several years ago and I was impressed with what the machine could do. We've had some of that good fresh asparagus the past couple of meals, including today's breakfast.
ReplyDeleteThanks Larry am very pleased with the headlight results.
DeleteWe do love fresh asparagus especially when it is reasonably priced.
Now I need to go out and check our headlights to see if that's something Jim needs to do. He just loves when I read a blog and come up with a new chore for him. lol No campfires here because they are really worried about fires. They are looking forward to the monsoons so it won't be quite so dry. Sounds like you are relaxing and enjoying.
ReplyDeleteAlways something to do when you live in an Rv , I love puttering around with this stuff too. We very seldom have dry weather here so can usually enjoy campfires almost year round. No monsoons here is a bonus.
DeleteRelaxing and enjoying yes!
I've been thinking about the headlight restoration kit for my 2002 Honda CR-V. They're pretty glazed. I'm going to try and find the kit you used and do it myself!
ReplyDeleteDinner looks yummy - I just may have to thaw some flounder I bought and froze in Mexico for dinner tonight.
Ah, summer!
It is an easy fix and really brightens up the headlights. You just need an electric drill, assuming you have one.
DeleteWe do love our fish, especially the fish we could buy in Mexico, but have not been there lately. Enjoy!
Great job with the lights. What a difference. Another great yummy looking meal.
ReplyDeleteThanks Contessa, all was great yesterday!
DeleteA zillion years ago before my Coast Guard days I operated a stump grinder like that. Very satisfying work for when you were done, everybody liked what you did. ;c)
ReplyDeleteIt is an amazing machine and sure gets the job done too.
