Where are we today ?
Last night after supper the wagon rides around the park, always fun. We have done it a few times in the past. More fun now when the grands are here.
|
first ride loading up, they did 3 full loads |
Then at 8:00 pm a free live band at the clubhouse mostly Rock'n Roll from the 70's era. Not really our kinda music and as usual way too loud. But we did get up for one dance.
|
"No Show Joe Band" but they were here |
We stayed for the first set and were home shortly after 9 o'clock. Kinda past our bedtime anyway. Nice to go to these functions right here in the park. We do like free but not over the top loud.
Great sleep and apparently it rained overnight, we heard nothing, guess we are used to this lifestyle. I am deaf but even did not wake Suzie.
Just enjoying this outside weather in the shade. After putting together a ground lean turkey meatloaf and refrigerate for a couple hours. To firm it up for our Weber Q. Read some more loving it!
About 4 our friends Emile and Monique stopped by for a nice "Happy Hour". A great time to reconnect again. They are here for another few days then we go our own ways, never know when we will meet up again.
|
perfect weather |
Then time to fire up our Weber Q 100, low and slow after preheating, cook for about 25 minutes , carefully turn over for about 15 more, apply some BBQ sauce, grill a garlic bun and some very fresh local asparagus. Similar recipe
here on my Recipe blog, but turkey instead of beef and no cheese.

done to perfection, tasty and moist |
Just add the salad and we are good to go.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you had a wonderful Sunday too!
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this past Winter.
I think you should figure out a way to bring that hot tub to the desert with you. You guys would be a really big hit. And you could also bring me some of those baked goods.
ReplyDeleteThat soft tub only weighs 44 lbs but is kinda bulky. Don't think the baked goods would survive the long journey to Arizona.
DeletePortable hot tubs, quite amazing. Nice to see you both slowly getting into your normal relaxing routine.
ReplyDeleteThose soft tubs are great almost bought one for our house , years ago.
DeleteThose wooden pop machines and gas pumps would make excellent decorations for a den. My wife and I love flea markets and it sure is surprising what all you can find at one.
ReplyDeleteAlways some different things found at the flea markets, great entertainment value for the 2 of us.
DeleteSounds like you are settling back nicely into your regular kind of routine now that you are back in the motorhome and out on the road. Love the old Coke machine and gas pump made of wood, they are very well done. The shot of the pileated woodpecker is nice, at first I just thought it was a wood carving of one.

Those carvings were very well done.
DeleteThat woodpecker is the real thing!
How can you eat that extra hot stuff. My hand would fall off just touching it.
ReplyDeleteI have been eating this hot stuff for years and have no problems with it, like everything else, again in moderation
DeleteNo wonder you can eat all that hot stuff, you burned out your taste buds years ago! :cD
ReplyDeleteI can still taste good food though, so not a problem.
DeleteYou seem to find all the good markets to visit. I wish we knew of similar ones where we're at.
ReplyDeleteSome are better than others, this be our favorite though.
