Easter gathering number two, more family fun time!

Where are we today ?
Another nice night and the weather is getting a bit warmer. First thing after starting a pot of coffee was to start the Ham and Bean soup boiling. Love using the mix and so easy to make. The ham bones I had boiled last night and let the broth cool overnight to skim off the excess fat.
In less than two hours we have a huge pot of very tasty soup. Which will get eaten over the next few days.
excellent bean soup
tasty
While this was happening a walkabout the yard here and down the road a bit so peaceful, here in the country.
lookin down the road
I had made a huge bowl of seafood salad with imitation crab that we took yesterday, and saved some to take along today.
this tasty too and very popular
Today's get together was with my three children and their spouses along with our 5 grandchildren 4 boys and 1 redheaded little girl. Ages from 4 to 10 years old.
We all gathered at daughter # 1's house in Aurora about 90  minutes from here north of Toronto.
All arrived around noon catching up with each others lives since we last got together last October. Such a wonderful time to see everyone again, and the grands, such great kids and bundles of energy.
Happy Easter Grandad and Grandma
a beautiful maintenance free garden !
The boys were running about, hockey in the driveway, basketball, and table tennis, burn up some energy.
SIL # 1 grilling some great pork tenderloins,on his huge
Weber, it works amazing, just like a Weber should.
we had a great selection,
plenty of tasty food for the 12 of us.
oh so tasty
Thanks Grandad and Grandma, I think I like chocolate!
after a filling supper, Suzie and I split a yummy
gluten free cupcake, with fresh strawberries
After another fun family day, that went way too quickly, we reluctantly made our way back home, arriving just in time to catch a wonderful sunset.
There another fun family day great visiting and more tasty food.
Thanks for stopping by for another Easter feast, looks like we get to do another one again tomorrow. Hope you are having a great Easter Weekend too.

Love bean soup, made one last week. Just lentils, pinto beans and tomatoes. So simple, but good and lasted for three meals.
