A few hundred miles, north/east slowly making our way back home.

Where are we today ?
Walmart Pryor Oklahoma
We had a good nights sleep last night and no real hurry to get going this morning. Said goodbye to our friends and hit the road. hit the road about 9:15 am.
Besides it's raining and we are not going to camp, just Wally Docking tonight somewhere along the road. It was a light rain almost all day, very little traffic (Sunday) and right through Dallas/ Fort Worth was a breeze.
345 miles today
As you can see very little traffic and light rain so we just sauntered along. Stopped at few rest areas to get out and stretch.
And stopped at a Cabela's to see if I could find a new vest that I like. We had a nice walkabout, and made a bite for lunch, no new vest.
nice spot to check out
Then we just carried on down the road. Pasted this truck camper with my idea of the prefect Towed! Not so much for Suzie though.

nice tow vehicle, yes?
Stopped to fuel up and decided to carry on a little while further. The Walmart in Pryor Oklahoma seemed like a good place to stop for the night. Besides it was 4:30 already.
Just pulled in fired up our propane oven and threw this easy chicken pot pie together while the oven preheated. The easy Chicken pot pie recipe is right HERE.  Just used up the rest of our rotisserie chicken that I had deboned and froze the other day.
25 minutes later we have a wonderful hot meal
sure hit the spot
Then I put together today's posting, watch a bit on local tv and called it a night.
Ready to hit the road in the morning for a few hundred more miles, then take it easy for a few days.
Thanks again for stopping on by, maybe not too exciting for you, but something we enjoy doing.

  2. So where was the Cabela's? Doesn't look like where we usually shop..... Your chicken pot pie looks wonderful... dang! wish I'd picked your brain for a few recipes. You missed all the rain here today... maybe a half inch in all... but the thunder and lightning were very nice. See you somewhere down the road.... take care, my friends, take care

  5. Catching up… wow! that was in December with all that snow! I remember that… man. times flits.

I know the route you're on … I try to avoid it! ANd what fun meeting Bill and Sharon … I'm not familiar with the Crofts… need to take a gander!

Cute little cafe and good looking food. I love club sandwiches…. hahaaa what wrinkles… atta boy George…

I don't like hooves for a hat rack … poor ol thing OHhhh forgot all about Steve McQueen doing Wanted Dear or Alive…. LOVED Steve McQueen… and that's catfish … the way it ought to be done. lightly battered and crisp on the outside and plump inside… good stuff.

Texas sunsets are superb most of the time… and the stars are bright deeeep in the heart of ol Texas… yep … love the green at your Rv Park… and the Bluebonnets are always so pretty. Lady Bird did a lot to beautify the countryside … with billboard removal and planting wildflowers … There's so much to Texas … you would like the Hill Country very much, I think so.

Lake Texoma is a very pretty area … you went right by it! and well, you missed some gorgeous Arkansas stuff to the east of ya. maybe next time…

Well? I think I"m caught up! great following you, George …
