Lunch with fellow Bloggers and another great day!

Where are we today ?
Very warm here last night, windows open , fans on a only a sheet for sleeping. Boy we sure gonna miss this weather as we head north, but will enjoy every minute of it here.
The morning walkabouts are awesome and chatting with people here. Right where we are parked is 4 rv's from Ontario, nice to chat with these people for a bit.
We had arranged to meet with Sharon and Bill you can read her version of the visit by clicking on the link in bold type The Odd Essay, fellow rver's, bloggers and friends that we met with last fall as we were heading west. We have followed each others blogs for a while.
They went to Costa Rica for three months and we headed out to explore the southwestern states in our RV.
So what better than to get together at a very unique place in town. The Storiebook Cafe and as the sign says it is a novel experience.
This place started out as a used bookstore and served coffee and sandwiches, now they are more of a unique cafe' that sells books.
Sharon and Bill picked us up and we chatted for a while getting caught up since last fall enjoyed the short drive to town. Interesting food on the menu and the setting is very unique.
Bill, Sharon, Suzie and Me
Reasonably priced with a limited food selection but was excellent.
I ordered a Turkey Clubhouse with jalapeno chips, more than I could eat, it was excellent, left overs for another meal.
Suzie a very filling BLT and chips
We chatted and chatted filling in blanks here and there that were not blogged about and had a wonderful visit. Many different rooms here as well, with books and dining, banquet room and outdoor patios.
Back room decorated for an Easter party

more books everywhere you turn
outdoor patio
Then time to head back home, Bill has a project on the go and we had full tummies. Good to have a great visit again. So nice to meet up with them as we are passing through town. And sure we will meet up again.
My project was to buff out the scratches from the other day when the highway barrels jumped our and hit our coach. While Suzie enjoyed a book in the shade.
The buffing out out the scratches by had proved to be
pretty easy using this great Meguire's compound
easy, peasy
A bit of wax and good as new.
Now can enjoy our books in the shade for a while. It was 88f (humid) here and amazing how much warmer 88 is compared to no humidity in Arizona.
Then a nice "Happy Hour" with our friends here from Ontario. Rob, Pat and Lady girl. Until the skies clouded over for a short rain shower.
just a nice warm rain about 5 pm
No supper tonight after such a filling and satisfying lunch with our friends.
A favorite nice light snack, popcorn and apples slices did the trick tonight, oh yeah and the rest of our fresh strawberries too.
Thanks for joining us again and hope you had an Awesome day too!

  2. Can we borrow you for a while? We need to rub some of that salt off that we got on the coast. You look experienced so might be a good one to give us a lesson or two. We'll watch and see how it's done. :)

    2. I just used a cloth, but for big jobs have used my 6 inch electric polisher.

  5. You've eradicated the desert pin striping from your rig. Now folks will think you seldom travel if your coach looks so nice.

  7. That's a cute restaurant, and the portions are huge. Nice going on the scratches. I'm beginning to think that I put more scratches on, rather than take them off any time I get near any body work.

  9. Interesting looking restaurant. I should buy some of that compound as I have a few scratches on my truck that need fixed.

  10. This is (was) certainly the winter for meeting up with other bloggers. This summer Sharon and Bill will be only 3hrs. from our place in Maine at a NWR. Unfortunately I won't be around here myself.
