Where are we today ?
Last night we had good night in the Walmart, quiet and cool great for sleeping. Up early and puttered around for a while. Then hit the road about 7:30am. So nice staying here, just need to check things out and fire up our coach and away we go.
Headed on down the road for a couple hours and saw a sign for Colaw Rv Used rv parts, mentioned by our friend Larry Vanstone. So we just had to pull in and check this place out. Looking for entry door hinges for our coach.
We then had to tour the hundreds of acres of wrecked rv's here. Found a lot of parts that we could use, but after and hour decided to hit the road and carry on to or destination.Could have spent many more hours here. Will plan a stop here next fall for a day or two.
Need parts this is the place to go, they have it all!

All these rv''s here, accidents and fires, so sad to see and any one of them could be us.

Time for us to head on down the road and a great travel day it was.

Now the reason we came back here was to go here to get the best of the Wurst! In the next day or two. We arrived at 2:30 and were greeted by some friends from Ontario.
Little did we know there is a few friends here from Ontario Canada! Ron and Loree, Jim and Linda, and a new couple we met at Happy hour, Sam and Norma all from Ontario. Now how cool is that?

We got all the social gathering done then time to fire up our Weber Q 100.

We are here and relax for a few days and still very nice warm weather. The long travel day was very worthwhile.

The cooler temperatures cannot be avoided and you are closing in on those lowering temps.
ReplyDeleteIt's only a bit cooler, still quite comfortable.
DeleteThat's more the way I would like to travel home. But, what will you do. There were other plans in the making. Enjoy your time driving back home. Spring is coming, slowly but surely.
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to meet with RV'ers on the road.
By the way - I have changed my settings on my blog. I will monitor the comments for a while, therefore it takes a while for them to publish. Reason: got some weird comments recently. Just so that you know.
Sometimes travel plans change and we do what we have to do.
DeleteTo bad about the spam on your blog, I have been pretty lucky lately.
Y'all seem to find good food and good friends wherever you are! Can't beat that... makes life good!
ReplyDeleteJust love this lifestyle sure is amazing.
DeleteNever know who we will meet are the next bend in the road.
Some of those wrecked RV's looked pretty scary. Gotta always be alert when we drive those monsters huh.
ReplyDeleteHappy Hour looks the same - just the clothes have changed. LOL

DeleteTemps in the 60's is still pretty good.
