A short drive and we will hang out in Ohio for a few days, excellent weather.

Where are we today ?
We had a great nights sleep last night very quiet here at this Flying J, windows open and even slept late (for me) until after 5 am. This morning a few walkabouts by the trucks, just to make sure they were here. On the other side of the buildings.
In no hurry today only 166 miles to go and we want to wait until the rush hour traffic is done here in Indianapolis.
love these trucks transporting trucks.
only 166 miles today
Hit the road about 8:50 am and very little traffic. Just a nice easy drive, sunshine, no wind and no rain, another perfect travel day.
now we in Ohio
Arrived at Wapakoneta Ohio, and all checked in, setup by 12 noon. With absolutely amazing weather!
the indoor pool is right behind us
We really enjoy this place, always better weather than back home, not busy at this time of year, and only 6 hours to home. Think we may stay until next Tuesday then the weather gets kind yukky everywhere. So will then head back to the "Great white north".
love the indoor pool and spa right behind us,
especially when nobody is there
After a nice soak and swim in the pool we enjoyed our books outside for a couple hours. Temps about 70f but much warmer in the sun. Also chatted with a few other people from Ontario making their way home.
lotsa Robins here, are they following us home?
the creek is rising, never seen it this high before
even the Canada Geese are here too
We had a craving for another chicken on our Weber Q. Smallest I could find was 5.6 lbs. It was huge! But only $5:85, so cooked it up with a couple baked taters, broccoli with cheese and my Swiss Chalet dipping sauce. We have lotsa leftover chicken, no problem we can take care of that.
our Weber Q does its job very well
sure hit the spot, way too much to eat though,
glad we like leftovers
Supper done, another walkabout then actually were able to enjoy reading outside until 8 pm! Still daylight and warm enough, love it.
Kinda delays my blogging a bit but still have time to relax as well.
We are enjoying this awesome weather as long as we can, and a perfect place to do so.
Thanks for stopping on by again and hope you had a great day and enjoy the next few days a very warm weather too.

  1. Oh man... you folks are in my home State! Okay... you're NE and my heart is in SE... but,..... still... this old Buckeye gets real homesick reading about folks in Ohio. That big ole chicky looks pretty good to me... very tasty!

  2. I think it's great that you are close enough to home that you can relax for a few days and enjoy yourselves before making the last big push. With everybody clearing out of our park, the pool is empty most of the time. And with the heat they are leaving it uncovered now which is nice.

    1. Thanks for getting the weather in shape for us, you did an awesome job. To bad you are so far away and not on our route this time.

  4. You're lucky that pool is heated. We've discovered many pools where we've been aren't even open let alone heated. Glad you made it through Indianapolis without much traffic. We're tired of big cities and lots of traffic.

    1. We have stayed here a few times and is very nice at this time of year. Also a membership park, ten dollars a night.

  6. Lucky you, with a heated pool and spa right behind ya! I would like that too. Still chilly here and some rain in the making. So take a break and wait until the rain is gone. It's much nicer to come home when the sun is shining.
Yummy chicken. I guess our weber is out of work until Peter is back. I am not a big fan of too much grilling. I am the "Eintopf" person. :))

  7. Well, you certainly have been taking your time getting home but you're not going to be able to avoid it much longer, George!
