Busy first day back here in Ontario.

Where are we today ?
We had a very comfy night here in the driveway at Suzie's Mom and Dad's. Extra comforter on the bed and slept like a log. Up early again as usual have a lot of things to get done today. Mr Heater fired up this morning and in no time we toasty warm. Our well insulated coach and dual pane windows sure do make in comfy year round.
First off to Plattsville chat with a few guys at the garage and talk to Dale our Mechanic about getting a few repairs done.
Then back to New Hamburg, pick up a few things at the store for this weekend, most of the stores I want to go to are closed Friday and Sunday for Easter and we not here on Saturday.
Next to visit with Ma (my mother) in Waterloo for a coffee. It has been since last fall that I was there, was so nice to see her again we had a wonderful visit. She even got me to fix up a couple minor things for her,(no problem) and a few other things to check out in the next week or so.

Now to get to her place I take Ira Needles Parkway across the edge of Kitchener/Waterloo. A very easy quick drive no stop lights at all but 5 roundabouts. I missed the picture of the first one. Then next 4 below.

After leaving here pickup a few for items in town then back to New Hamburg, where Suzie is still slaving away, visiting with her Mom and Dad doing stuff.
Everybody busy here so I got to whip up supper, in a big kitchen, no Weber Q tonight either. So pots and pans got dirty, I fried up a package of our favourite Swiss Bratwurst. So very very tasty.
Added some creamy whipped potatoes, with browned butter, peas, tossed salad and sauerkraut, sure hit the spot.
did the trick today
That was it for our very busy day. We still have more to do the rest of this weekend.
Tomorrow move down the road a few miles and do some more visiting.
Thank y'all for stopping by again EH!

Thats a bit of southern slang I picked  up over the years and just to prove I am Canadian EH!

Not crazy about the NEW Google map that I am forced to use now, below, has a few features I do not like but here is.

  1. I have to envy you two a bit... still having parents alive and can have a cuppa with... tell me... what do you REALLY think of "round-abouts"? They are becoming more popular throughout the USA... we even have one in our little podunk town in Ohio... do you think they really make it easier to navigate the streets/roads? Just wonderin'?

    1. Personally I like them they keep the traffic moving no long waits at intersections. Keeps you alert too. I find them very efficient.

  5. We rolled through your old stomping grounds of Plattsville Thursday morning to have a look at a Class A In Cambridge. Grabbed a burg at New Hamburg's McDonalds on the way back but didn't see any sign of Suzie.

    1. On Thursday her Mom and Dad go to Tim Hortons across the street. I was at Clover Leaf farms in Mc Donalds about 10 am
I was at Pettigrews garage in Plattsville about 8 am.
We could have passed each other on the road.

  6. Family time & good food--fantastic, EH?! We're getting more roundabouts here too & I like them. A little tricky at times but that's ok...keeps you on your toes!

    1. Yes they do keep you on your toes, but the traffic flow is better.

  7. You're luckier in more ways than just having parents and lots of family around. Most Canadians we know have blogged about crossing over into snow covered areas. You're not dealing with that. Lucky you.
