Time with our friends and working on Computer issues with Rick Doyle.

Where are we today ?
Wonderful fall day again and gonna be another great day. Chat with Steve and Barb this morning hang out for a bit trying to resolve some issues in Steve's laptop computer. After a couple frustrating hours we gave up and Steve whipped us up a lunch of great homemade soup and stews, so good!
yummy lunch
Then I tried a bit more working on his internet connection and lots of windows settings. Finally at 2 pm gave up and sent Rick Doyle an email to see if he had any ideas. Steve and I headed out to run a few errands while Suzie ran her Mom to Stratford to see her Dad at the hospital , still no new news there. Same with her gramma too.
Got back about 4 pm here and had a Google Plus hangout with Rick Doyle  a fellow Blogger and rver we have been following for a few years. He does have a great knowledge of windows computers and we worked on this issue for over an hour. We did make progress but kind of ran into a wall. So I suggested that we call it a day, sleep on it and maybe a solution will appear magically overnight. Was past 5 o'clock here anyway and I had to begin cooking supper on our Weber Q for our guests.
Had  a fun time on Google Plus with Rick
Now I fired up our Weber and chatted with our guests (Steve and Barb) for a bit while supper was on the go.
a Quick social time
corn on the cob, baked taters and pork tenderloin
so tatsy moist and tender, really hit the spot
getting cool out so inside to eat.
You know hanging out with friends and trying to solve computer problems will sure take up a good part of your day. Was fun and really enjoyed the time that Rick and I had on line attempting to work out this issue. Thanks Rick. He has not given up yet between the two of us (mostly Rick) the problem will be resolved.
Any who that was a great day and just flew by, glad you could drop on by and hope you had a good one too!

  5. I did end up finding the missing driver for Steve's laptop but now the problem becomes how to get it onto his laptop given he has no internet connection.

I'll send you the info in the morning regarding the driver files and see if you are able to download them and install it on Steve's laptop.

  8. Computer problems gives me the hives, just kidding. We have Avast anti-virus on our computers which works well for us. We just upgraded from free to premium. Denis has a diagnostic done on his computer yesterday because he was getting annoying popups. Avast didn't fix it yesterday and will need to work on it again today.
