Where are we today ?
Here it is sunday morning, kinda cool and overcast.interesting sunrise this morning |
From here off to Waterloo, stop at Wally World, Staples , and Sobeys, just to see if any bargoons. Then a nice visit with my mom, chat, catchup and check her computer, new batteries in her thermostat just to make sure all is working good.
Back home shorty after 4 o'clock, preheat our Weber Q 100 to roast a chicken (we do love our whole chickens on the Q !). 80 minutes and done to perfection. Roast some taters and steam some broccoli. Whipped up a little Swiss Chalet sauce just to make it the way we love it.
The other day I cleaned up the burner on our Weber, just ran a paper clip through the holes as some were almost plugged, BBQ sauce and stuff. Works much better now, lights quicker with the original built in lighter and cooks more evenly again. Doing pretty good considering I use use this Weber Q almost everyday of the year for over 4 years now.
sure hit the spot and lotsa leftovers too, another meal or two |
Thanks for for stopping on in for a peek, hope ya'll had a wonderful Sunday too, wherever you are.

Tasty looking dinner. Gramma is a hoot!
ReplyDeleteGramma is a hoot!
DeleteNever thought about using a paperclip in the little holes. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteWorks pretty good cleaning it up.
DeleteHm, maybe I should take a look at the holes on my burner. We've had our big Weber for a number of years now. Maybe that's why it's a bit cantankerous to light sometimes?
ReplyDeleteThat could very well be, the gas flow gets a little restricted, worth a try.
DeleteYour Gramma sounds like my Aunt Happy. I called her yesterday and asked her how she was feeling. She turned 100 last month - and she told me that she really didn't like getting older because she was starting to get some wrinkles. Just cracks me up. Hope I have their spirit if I live that long.
ReplyDeleteI think if you live that long you really need to have a sense of humour and is so nice to see.
DeleteWish I had room for a Webber Grill. I'd welcome a grill that lasted for four years.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very small grill and I expect it to last many years more as well. The Weber Q 100. is no bigger than my other tabletop grills.
DeleteYou should start a blog just for all your Q grill recipes. I'm sure I would love it and others too.
ReplyDeleteHave been thinking about doing that maybe when we have more free time.
DeleteYep, end of September and things start to get nippy. I am sure te two of you are looking forward to ending south and some new adventures.
