Where does the time go as the days just fly by ?

Where are we today ? 

New Hamburg Ontario

        Had a great nights sleep and up early as usual. Fresh air and a walkabout with a beautiful sunrise through the trees here.

         The forecast says an overcast day and chance of rain this afternoon and whadda know the weather guessers got it right!

         A quick trip to the store at 8 o'clock this morning (before the crowds) for a few food items and enjoyed the interesting looking sky, also passed a a bunch of old cars cruising down the paved back roads along the way. Reminded me of the good old days and the good old cars.

        I whipped up a few Egg Mc Muffins (ham, egg and cheese on an English muffin) and Suzie's mom cooked up some ripe plums and peaches to go with it for a tasty brunch.
        Then I headed into Plattsville to mow some lawn at "Camp Awesome", I did not have time to do the last few days due to the heat, cold and rain. And then at 1 o'clock over to the Arena to watch grandson number one doing some more hockey tryouts, he is doing pretty good. Suzie spent the afternoon doing stuff with her mom and dad.

Kinda cool in the Arena today compared to a few days ago.

       After the skating and chatting with daughter number two, I mowed a bit more lawn until the drizzle began again, then headed back to whip up supper, perfect timing. Tonight Fettucini Alfredo with shrimps and scallops, a red leaf lettuce salad with Suzie's mom's homemade creamy dressing and a baguette. Really hit the spot, oh and her mom peeled some more ripe peaches for desert as well. Good weather for cooking this meal again, inside a real big kitchen when we have one available, still cool and drizzly outside. For the two of us camping I would have fired up our Weber Q.

Sure did the trick
