Where are we today ?
Kind of a warm muggy day today. Up early as usual to enjoy the morning like we always do. Computing and walkabouts not to sure what is on the agenda yet. But really needed to fill our propane tank so secured the coach and I headed on down to Ayr and filled it, we should be good for quite a while again.Back to "Camp Awesome" I got the mower out and trimmed out our site, then got set back up again, including our satellite dish and a bite to eat for lunch. Suzie's mom, brother and sister-in-law heading to Stratford to visit her Dad at noon today. So we hung around here for the afternoon, mowed a couple more acres of lawn then enjoyed our books for a while. Supposed to have thunderstorms this afternoon, but just some rumbles in the sky and a couple raindrops, no big deal.
The plan was Suzie pick up her Mom at 4:30 to visit Dad in Stratford. But I suggested she bring her here first for a quick bite to eat. Something quick a easy. So just fired up the Weber Q, roasted some taters and boneless chicken breasts, add a few peas, good to go. Then a snibble (tiny piece) of elderberry pie for desert.

that's a snibble of Elderberry pie, perfect! |
That's about it for our day, still not raining and still pretty warm, just overcast and more rumbling in the sky.
Had a comment from Paul and Marty Dahl about our map at the bottom of our posting "Really like that travel map, way cool way to track your travels! "
We do two of these maps a year, our summer travels and our winter travels, so easy to do on Google maps and just imbed the link into the HTML of our template, that way people can see where we are, and so can we! It is interactive too just click on it to enlarge.
Thanks for stopping by again, hope ya'll are having a great Labor Day weekend and do appreciate all the well wishes we have been getting for the family.
Opps, 7pm and the rain is just beginning, lots more thunder too, love sitting under our awning in the rainstorms, don't mind it all at night time.

I see you are heading south in 45 more days. Where are you headed?
ReplyDeleteLewiston NY, Alliance Ohio, Canton Ohio (but you not there), then west towards Arizona, no plans just kinda wing it, the way we like to travel....
DeleteLike the new picture of you two...
ReplyDeleteThanks almost the same almost 8 years later.
DeleteSuzie's hair looks like it's getting long .. is it?
ReplyDeleteNo longer than usual, she gets a trim twice a year.
DeleteThe lazy days of summer certainly are coming to a close. However as long as the nice weather hangs around we all get to enjoy it a little longer ... so, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYes will take all the nice weather we can get. Then starts getting to cold we look for warmer weather again.
DeleteOh how I love to sit outside under the awning when it is raining....I also like the way the rain sounds on our roof! So relaxing!
ReplyDeleteHave a marvelous Monday....
It sure is relaxing.
DeleteI've noticed your map before and thought it was a neat idea too. It's nice to see at a glance where you've been in both summer and winter.
ReplyDeleteWorks great for us, every time I change the map it updates for me too.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen this? Maybe it's all the talk in those parts. I just noticed this article about the fire at the St. Jacobs Market.
ReplyDeleteYou guys were just there.
