Where are we today ?
Another hot and humid day here but changing fast as the day progresses. Started off with sunshine and hot , with a few cloudy periods here and there. We enjoyed it while it was here. With our coach now facing the other way into the trees we get to enjoy these squirrels right outside our windshield about 2 feet away. They gathering nuts and getting ready for winter.

Now as most rv'ers know when the weather gets really hot and humid your refrigerator does not necessarily work well maintaining optimum temperature. With the temperature this morning at 90f feeling like 104f it not doing its best job. So I dug out a 12 volt fan I had and did a test to see if it helped and guess what? Sure did make a difference. So checking my parts department here found I had all the was necessary hardware to hook up a permanent connection. Will leave that for a cooler day like tomorrow.

temporary cooling fan set up |
In the meantime headed into Waterloo for a nice visit my mother, and she took us out for a wonderful breakfast for lunch just down the road at the
Sunset Grill a small Canadian Franchise operation famous for their all day breakfast, only open until 3 pm daily. Thanks ma!
Now back home after Suzie's doctor appointment we found a nice shady spot with a cool breeze to read for a while, too hot to mow lawn today and a thunderstorm coming in later on.
No phone calls for Suzie to run errands again for her family. Her Dad is doing well with his hip replacement surgery making leaps and bounds in the recovery process, her mom is doing fine and her Gramma was moved to a nursing home in Tavistock

4 pm thunder, lightning and a heavy downpour for about 10 minutes |

no supper tonight, snack of crackers and cheese |
With out having to take time for supper we got more reading done, was absolutely wonderful. Readinng and snacks under our awning watching the storm pass us by. Then the sun came back out shinning on Lea's school bus parked in the field tonight, away from the trees, just in case.

we are under the trees, just in case |
Rain stopped and sun setting behind the willow trees behind us. We had a very nice hot summer day and recharged our energy levels a bit. After the rain temperatures dropped dramatically going to 65f tonight and much cooler for the next few days. Suzie be running again tomorrow with a few things on her agenda.
Glad you could make time in your busy schedule to stop by here for a visit.

We are in the 80's here today so the weather is about perfect. I can do without anymore storms but it looks like we are probably driving into some tomorrow and Friday. Glad to hear all is going well with the family.
ReplyDeleteAll is doing well, travel safe and enjoy the trip.
ReplyDeleteYour site looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to read that all the family members are doing great. God bless them all.
Perfect site it is, all is good.
DeleteCrazy weather, our high changed 24 degrees in just one day:(
ReplyDeleteSame here for us big change.
DeleteGood idea on the fan...nice fix! Sure was a strange day...still raining here late tonight.
ReplyDeleteI had the fan and I have a switch and it works, now I will set it up.
DeleteThe rain has started to come down hard here ('bout 10:00 p.m.) and the temperature had dropped ten degrees already by about eight. I'm liking it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe nicer for you but I still like the heat.
DeleteI see the picture of the fridge and fan but I don't get it. Where is the fan blowing and how does it keep the fridge cool?
ReplyDeleteit dispates the heat removed from the fridge, making it more efficient, works great.
DeleteThat was a very clever fix with the fan. Too bad manufacturers don't install fans right from the start. Maybe they're trying to sell more replacement refrigerators? :cO
ReplyDeleteSure does make a difference, dissipate the heat faster, fridge gets cooler.
DeleteGreat day...nice to relax and read! I don't like hot and humid, but I don't like cold either...Isn't RVing wonderful?
ReplyDeleteRV'ing sure is wonderful for sure
DeleteIn town we saw one temperature gauge indicating 101 degrees. We didn't think it was wrong either. It was downright HOT!
ReplyDeleteYep those kinda temps are hot no matter how you look at it!
DeleteGreat idea for the fridge fan. It's hot out here on the Island too but no sign of rain at all just clear blue skies and sunshine. Better than July and August.
ReplyDeletePerfect weather for your mini vacation!
