Where are we today ?
Cooler again today, but still sunny off and on with a few drizzles of rain. After a few groceries I set to work to do a permanent installation of the external fridge fan I experimented with yesterday. Wired into twelve volts with a manual switch so that I can turn in on to help with the air circulation in the very hot humid weather, probably not until next summer.

black box fan works great |
Then afternoon we went thru our clothes and purged (a lot), clothes we have not worn for years, they all fit but some we just don't wear anymore, not suitable for our lifetsyle and have too much.
This project accomplished we were invited to Suzie's Mom and Dads for a roast beef supper.
|
awesome sunny day |
When we arrived I ran to the store for a few groceries and Suzie helped her mom make some homemade applesauce.
|
applesauce so tasty, red because cooked with the skins |
Then a delicious roast beef dinner, with boiled potatoes, pasta salad and homemade creamed corn all so tasty.
|

|

Molly says, thanks for stopping in for a visit. |
So as for what happens tomorrow looks like we wait and see, like I said our plans are written in chalk or made in jello.

We need to purge also...clothes, household items, etc. We made a pack when we started to travel that if we bought something, we gave something away. That worked the first year...not sure what has happened these last three...lol
ReplyDeleteThat 's what we do too, most of the purge came from clothes we had stored at my mothers.
DeleteThat countdown clock is moving along pretty quick these days.
ReplyDeleteGood job on the fridge fan and a great idea too.
Thanks Rick, the clock is moving quick, the race is on.
DeleteWe "purged" a lot of the clothes we had been hauling around too. I couldn't believe we had so many. Hopefully, we'll be a little more selective when we buy and toss the old ones out sooner.
ReplyDeleteWe do pretty good and were mostly doing storage stuff.
DeleteGlad to hear that "dad' is doing well. You have had a busier than normal summer I think but as you say that departure day clock is ticking.
ReplyDeleteYep it is ticking faster every day.....
DeleteGreat photo of Molly! I love the close ups of the pups.
ReplyDeleteThanks, she is so cute and friendly.
DeleteSure like your idea of adding the fan to the fridge. Glad your Dad is doing better, and looked like a nice dinner. Nice photo of Molly. Have an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much you guys have a great weekend too.
DeleteI like home made apple sauce too! Unfortunately we have not have an apple year for two years in a row. Maybe we have not enough bees in the spring.
ReplyDeletePurging clothes is a hardship for me. They are still too good to be given away, but it should be done, really, it should.....
Too bad no apples there.
ReplyDeletePurging is hard to do but does need to be done eventually.
So we just did it!
