Help out where we can and keeping busy.

Where are we today ?
This morning started off with a pretty heavy frost on the cars and the roof of the house, but the sunshine melted it all away and things got pretty nice about 16c (60f). A few things done like get all their meds organized and Suzie researched some too. Then a soup and sandwich for lunch.
Ran a few errands this afternoon for Suzie's Mom and Dad ( he can't drive yet), got prescriptions filled, and picked up a few groceries as well. Then I set up our Weber Q to whip up supper for the four of us, oopps it became 7 of us. No problem had a nice pork loin roast on the Weber Q and added a few more taters, carrots and cauliflower. Suzie's Mom made a nice red lettuce salad and baked a dutch apple pie with a delicious spelt flower crust.
I was able to even put my feet up for a bit,
Gramma's recliner in the garage
Missed our Weber Q the last few days
Have Rv, and have Weber Q can grill anywhere
We had a nice family dinner with her Mom, Dad, Sister, sister-in-law, brother, me and Suzie. Nobody went hungry. We can celebrate Tuesday can't we? Or her Dad is home, or we are upright and breathing, any excuse will do.
And the homemade red applesauce too
Tasty dutch apple pie
We had a great day here, with Suzie's family and helping out where we can, a tasty supper and way too much food again. We don't normally eat desert but lately getting carried away, we all love home made pies.
Thanks for stopping in and hope you had a nice sunny day too.

  2. Seems like we are both having too many homemade pies lately. Are you still wearing the same sized pants? Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  3. oh George...everyone should have a recliner at their ready! Spelt flour...whatever is that! I have made spelt pasta....very hard, chewy and liked it. But darn, either way you eat good!

    1. Spelt flower is very low in gluten and has life enhancing antioxidants and vitamins.

  4. Frost?? This is the second blog tonight talking about freezing and frost. NOOOOOO! But it still is wonderful that you're there to help out with Mom and Dad. That pie looks so good. We don't usually have dessert but we'd make exceptions for home made pie.

    1. We will do what we can while in the area and suffer with this delicious pie when we have to.

  5. We haven't had the frost hit yet but we certainly had a lot of rain today. Any excuse to celebrate will work and especially that Suzie's dad is out of the hospital.
