Decent weather and Suzie's Dad is back home.

Where are we today ?
Another overcast day to start with, but by noon the skies cleared and we had sunshine. First thing this morning having coffees and computing my one hearing aide quit, heck its only 3 months old. So a quick trip to the Hemmerich Hearing's Office in New Hamburg and an easy fix, Sherry put it in a drying machine and now works like new! Then gave me a hearing aid dehumidifier for me to store it in at night. I thinking humidity could be all the issues I have had in the past with previous one, lets hope so.
Suzie busy with her Mom and Dad so I headed out to "Camp Awesome" to finish mowing the lawn I started yesterday, 5 acres and does take a few hours. Almost completely, done less than 5 minutes to go and the cutting deck just quit, oopps! So not knowing anything about this hydraulic operated machine not much I can do other than report the issue to Lea and park the machine. It sure did get a workout this summer, hope its a simple fix, John he's quite the handyman.
nice view down the country roads
About 4:15 pm got a text from Suzie that her Dad is coming home from the hospital, just needs to be released and get dressed. His hip replacement is coming along just great, soon be walking really good without his walker, just a little setback with a minor stroke a few days ago, but all is great now. So thats my cue pack up and secure our coach and move to their driveway in New Hamburg, just to make sure they get settled in. Satellite dish packed away, coach secured and car hooked up for the 12 minute drive to their house in town in less than 40 minutes. I just parked the coach around the corner and disconnected the car and waited, chatted with a few neighbours in the process too, wanting to know how he was doing.
So nice that they are back home together and recovery is coming along nicely. We will stay here as long as we are needed or as long as they can put up with us.
its a tight fit but we are here
They arrived here at 6:30, Suzie's Mom whipped a nice tasty supper of left over roast beef, mashed taters, sliced tomatoes, lettuce salad and some tasty sauerkraut.
Sure hit the spot
Suzie and her mom tidy up a bit
Then I walked all the way home to the driveway, worked on this posting and now I think its almost time to call it a night.
Hey thanks for stopping by, we keep hopping around, glad you found us again.

Looks like our countdown timer is acting kinda funny, so had to remove it for the time being, we are still hoping to head south on Oct 17th.
