This where we are |
Before we know its time to head on down the back roads to Ma and Pa fest. Elmer and Kayes' farm where they have a yearly get together, its a huge social event for a few of their friends. About 300 in total are usually there and the turnout today did not disappoint with perfect weather for this outdoor event. The amazing thing is we know most of these people too!
Not sure how long they have been doing this but we have been coming for about 20 years if we are in the area. They supply the meat and this year 44 lbs of beef, 23 lbs of pork and a couple turkeys and some turkey breasts.
First thing you do here is read the rules, just to make sure that we know them, same every year, but a refresher course is good.

Well there ya go we had an amazing afternoon and evening with so many people to talk to, many we have not seen for a few years and so much food to eat, everybody brings a pot luck dish to go with the meat they supply.
Now considering Elmer is 81 this year and still putting on this huge event with help from friends and family, but he does love doing it I am sure. So glad that we are able to attend this annual event and catch up with so many people.
But now its getting late and we had a long fun day so would like to say good night.
Thanks once again for dropping on by, hope you had a great day too.
