Where are we today ?
More wonderful weather in our peaceful camping spot, loving it. We have a busy day planned and at 6:30 this morning it got busier. Phone call from Suzie's Dad that Suzie's Gramma was admitted to the hospital (she is 98 years young). So sister-in-law picked up Suzie's mom to take her to the hospital in Kitchener to be with her mother. At 10 am I dropped Suzie off in New Hamburg so she could go with her Dad to Stratford for the pre op stuff for his hip replacement at the end of this month (that was 4 hours).
While they were gone I ran a few errands pick up fuel for the grass mowing here and get an E-test on our little car. Another cash grab from our Ontario government, needs to be done every two years a simple emission test takes 10 minutes $39.95. Our 11 year old aturn passed with flying colors!
Then back to camp Plattsville filled up the mower (this has a 61 inch deck on it and proceeded to do another 3 hours of grass cutting (probably about 3 acres). Suzie home by 3:30 and brought me up to date. Her Dad's info and pre-op went well, and Gramma has been admitted for tests.
love this mower, fun to ride and gets the job done in half the time! |

real tasty, hit the spot |
Supper done and its a great evening, so a quick dip in the pool here and feel like brand new. Now can relax outside and enjoy our books for a while before calling it another fun day.

Sure glad we don't have that Clean Car thing here on Vancouver Island.
ReplyDeleteThose carrots in foil do look pretty good, I'll have to try that.
Yep they are tasty.
DeleteLove that mower. Some times I think I'd like a riding machine, but we don't have quite enough lawn to justify it.
ReplyDeleteSure is fun to ride.
DeleteCan be a nuisance if you don't have enough space.
I agree. I like a little char on my potatoes, carrots, squash ... well, just about everything. That makes them perfect.
ReplyDeleteYes is sure does.

God bless Gramma. 98...I am sure she can tell some wonderful stories about the "old" days.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you and Suzie are quite busy. I can't imagine 98 years old...hope Grandma will be coming home soon. And pray the hip surgery goes well for Suzie 's dad.
I sort of lost this comment somewhere in to cyberspace, so here is a copy from Gay and Joe.
DeleteSending positive thoughts to your family. Lucky you to have so many friends with large spaces.
ReplyDeleteCountry living and most of our friends live in the country= large spaces.
DeleteThat is too bad about Suzie's gramdma. 98 wow to live to be that old would be amazing as long as you had your independence.
ReplyDeleteI agree I love it when the veggies that have natural sweetener get a little over done. I especially like my corn to have color on it mmmm..
Gramma is a pretty spy lady and has a great sense of humor.
