Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

Just more sunshine, no wind today and warmer. Coffee and a trip to the grocery for smoked pork chops for supper. But they are sold out! More on friday, so plan B, get some fresh hamburg and whip up something for supper. Back home putter about for a while and a desert bike ride checking out some of the more remote campsites.

After a light lunch we decided to go for a drive and attempt to locate Norm and Connie. This is a couple we met here on our first time camping in the desert Jan. 2006. They are from Morrisburg Ontario and welcomed us here with lots of tips and tricks for dry camping here. And three times in the spring we would stop by and be invited to their Strawberry social that they sponsored for their winter friends. They had moved last year to a huge serviced campsite in town. Here they have electric, water, sewer, satellite tv and lots of storage for all the vehicles he collects, repairs and takes home to Ontario, making very good  money for his work and hobby. They pay $950.00 for a one year lease that allows them to store their trailer and vehicles, plus $15.00 a month for electricity, an awesome deal. They now fly down every fall for the winter.

We found them and had a very nice visit for a couple of hours catching up on each others travels. Then back to home dirt to sit in the very warm sunshine (shorts and t shirts) to catch up on our reading. As the sun began to set about 5:00pm thing cooled down a bit so inside to whip up a tasty supper of Enchiladas to satisfy a craving for some mexican food. Then chat for a while, read and a bit of tv before turning if for the night.
