Sun. Dec. 19th 2010 Palm Springs CA

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

Well once again its supposed to rain again all day according to the weather forecast. But we are in Coachella Valley . With all the rain in Los Angeles its not getting past the San Jacinto Mountains  right beside us. Just very cloudy and overcast skies, we can barely see they hills and mountains in the distance. But it is about 65f (17c) most of the day.

But with all the nice weather we find it is kinda nice for a change just to hang out, compute and read. Down to the pool and spa to soak for a while all is good. We decided because of the weather lets buy a chicken and stuff it with a homemade dressing and roast it for supper. Well into Vons in Desert Hot Springs for some things only find they had no fresh chickens, they were on sale for $1.29 lb. and maybe in later today. In the parking lot I asked a lady if there was another grocery store in town, yes 4 blocks up is Stater Bros. So a quick trip there to find they did have fresh chickens, so a nice 5 lb roasting chicken for .69 cents a lb, regular price $3.45, I am glad Vons was sold out. So back home get it ready and into the oven, now we smell  roasting chicken all day, I love yukky days we can stay mostly inside, for a change, nice and cozy!

With the chicken done I made some creamy mashed potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower and some home made gravy to round off the meal. Well that took care of todays yukky weather, we have lots of left overs for the next few days. So now we can relax with a Christmas movie to conclude another great day.
