SUNRISE |
Ok, today we start with another nice sunrise, each one is interesting and fresh, getting ready for a brand new day to explore. On todays agenda is a craft fare at the QIA (Quartzsite Improvement Association) with grounds lotsa of vendors selling anything that they have crafted, from signs, quilts, carvings, so much to see.

inside vendors |
A couple of hours of this is usually enough fun for the two of us. So then we drove down the street looking to see if we could catch Gary and Pat at home (A couple from Galvin Bay Resort in Ontario). Pat was there reading a book outside while Gary, Gary and Willy were at a desert golf tournament. After here we found a few more new vendors had set up at Tyson Wells so we just had to stop by and check their wares. (A new Tent= A new Vendor).

more STUFF |
Ok, by now we have walked enough, its getting quite warm and we are overdressed. So we can go back to home dirt and putter around outside for a while. Read our books and enjoy some of the scenery, an ultralight flew over quite low enjoying the desert view, must be wonderful from up there. A man walking his dog noticed our ONTARIO licence plates and asked where in Ontario. He is from Guelph very close to us and has been coming here for over 18years (small world again). We chatted for quite a while until the sun began to set and things cool off.

Beef in a jar |
Now for supper tonight we will begin with a "Beef-in-a-Jar". We did a half dozen jars of this nice beef from home, filled one quart canning jars and preserved. No refrigeration and good beef, We also did six jars of garlic sausage as well. An easy quick supper just heat up in a pot and thicken the gravy a bit, serve with potatoes and carrots, corn muffins and a great tasty dinner. We get two meals out of one jar, so it goes a long way.

small luncheon plates |
As I mentioned before to save water we us some paper chinet plates and we just happened to have a lot of luncheon plates so we use those. A great way to cut down, a much smaller plate and make just enough food to fill it, no seconds looks like we had a big meal right? Works for me.
