A nice sunny day again but still a cool wind. But nice enough for a walkabout, (holding into my hat) and getting some fresh air. Looking out our front window this morning we can see the snow covered mountains in the distance, looks very nice, but as close to snow as we would like.

A little while later we noticed that the mountains kind if disappeared into the clouds, with Downtown Palm Springs at the base.

Back home puttering around a bit, a nice day to wax our coach a bit more, especially protect the vinyl graphics from the UV rays. At 11:00 the Shade Pro guy arrived to repair our awning, only to find out that the shop did not put our part in his truck, he called them up and it was put on the wrong truck, in San Diego, 3 hours away. He will be back tomorrow afternoon.
I found a small hardware store in town for a piece of styrofoam pipe insulation, that I use for a few things, then made at quick stop at Vons again. I noticed this median landscaping which looked real interesting, large semi transparent blue crystal like rocks, nice.

Now back home again, puttering about an new neighbour from Saskatchewan pulled in beside us and we chatted for a bit. And I just had to take a picture of the
Sycamore tree across from us, they constantly amaze me with keeping their leaves and shedding the bark.

After reading a bit I cleaned some more of our extra large shrimp that we had bought at the Quartzsite Village Market, only $14.00 for 2 lbs. (not Mexican shrimp but still good!)

Now we can put together a yummy supper of Fettucini Alfredo w/shrimp, a tossed salad and a fresh crusty roll. Before we knew it, it was getting late, a bit of tv then, good night.... Another wonderful day just flew by.

Notice the controls for this New Map on the left side, you can zoom into different areas of the map and see where we are or have been.
You should treat yourselves to the tram ride up to the snow in Palm Springs. It will remind you again why you aren't in Ontario!
ReplyDeleteWe thought of that but Suzie did not do too well with elevation in Albuquerque a couple of years ago and we don't need to see the snow that up close and personal.
