awesome sunrise
Morning coffee and computing waiting for the sunrise to heat up the cool nighttime air. We were rewarded with a very colourful sunrise the prelude to a perfect day. On the way to the store this morning I stopped by a used car lot to check out some of the vehicles there. Now this was not an ordinary used car lot but one filled with cars from the 40's, 50's and 60's. So just like I did as a teenager I wandered about checking out all the different cars and remembering when you could buy anyone of these for a few hundred dollars. Now most were staring at ten thousand and way up from there. And just like the old days none of the cars were in showroom condition, I had a fun morning.

check out some old the old cars in this slide show

After this fun side trip I returned home in time for lunch. And then to enjoy the beautiful warm Arizona weather today. No wind and quite nice, so warm in fact we had to open our awning and sit in the shade.
hot day
We had bought a couple of new chairs a while back with attached side tables, very handy but no cup holders, so I found a couple at one of the vendors and thought I could install our own.

after
So now that I have that done hopefully no more spilled beverages. Now we have been here for a week now using the solar energy and water from our holding tank (70gallons) I thought I would use some of our water jugs and fetch a bit more to top it up. I picked up 10 gallons of water and rigged up the old water pump from our coach to transfer it into our holding tank. And it worked pretty slick, just using some old parts we happened to have on hand.
filling our fresh water
No trip to Quartzsite is complete without at least one visit to Silly Al's for a VERY good pizza, (fresh hand tossed dough, fresh meats, cheese and veggies) great service, friendly people, large portions and reasonable prices. Of course we made it for one of the many Happy Hours. The outside looks kinda iffy but once inside its a dark, cool place with lots of room, tables and a dance floor, with bands and karaoke in the evenings.

delicious fresh made pizza
So we shared a large pitcher of our favourite beverage (only $6.00) and a monster salad for only $3.95,  we could have stopped there, but we managed eat a couple of slices and of course left over pizza is always well enjoyed. (breakfast or lunch maybe)
