Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
since August 2006
Oh I forgot to mention that on sunday when I washed our coach the hose had touched the tripod of our satellite dish and when we went to watch tv last night we had no signal, now after fiddling with it for 1/2 hour in the dark I gave up and hooked up to their cable tv for the night. We have had a few problems getting a good signal in the southern states with our standard 60 cm dish and were told that a 75cm dish will work much better.
So now monday morning Suzie called Satllelite Advantage in Quartzsite to see if they had the larger Shaw/Direct Canadian dish. Sure he has them in stock, so a 20 minute drive there and we traded our small dish for the larger one and a few extra dollars. It has only been a week since we were in Quartzsite and I noticed quite a few more new vendors tents setting up and open for business.

Now back home I assembled our dish and hooked it up and almost instantly got a signal strength of 90% (compared to 42% with the smaller one), something that we never had with our small dish even in Canada, mucho better.

Then as the sun was setting things cool off a bit we BBQ'd a couple of pork chops, with a rice pilaf and salad for supper, chat for a while and a bit of tv, life is good. "On the road Again"in the morning.
