Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer, 

 since August 2006

      Friday and the weekend is here again, wow the week sure went fast. Here at Catalina Spa and RV Resort there is always stuff going on. There is craft classes, pool exercise classes, water volleyball, bocci ball, bible study, line dancing, computer classes, card games, horseshoes, shuffleboard, pickle ball, mini golf, pot luck dinners, dinners at the clubhouse and cafe, craft sales, yard sales, dances, bus trips, tag alongs, and still more and of course the very warm pool and huge spa, definitely no reason to say that there is nothing to do. There is even a couple getting married on Monday at the clubhouse!

        Well we are only here for a week, and puttering about, some local shopping and enjoying the reasonably nice weather and scenery keeps us occupied. Like watching the bark peel off the sycamore tree beside our patio and walkabouts, reading, cooking, research and generally hanging out.

      Well with a bunch of that accomplished before we knew it was mid afternoon waiting for Steve from Shade Pro to arrive with the part and repair our awning. Just before 3:00 he arrived with the part and what looks like simple procedure he removed the old spring and installed and loaded up the new one, and for a reasonable price.

       And it is a simple procedure if you know what you are doing and have the right tools. But to deal with all that spring tension, could be a very painfull accident if not done properly.

      Well with that all done we relaxed and read for a while, then I made some home made hamburgers for the BBQ with all the toppings and cut up some potatoes for french fries in our Fry Daddy. We can make our own fast food right here, but at least we know whats in it. The only problem was I couldn't find small enough fresh buns so we cut them down to size, after I took the picture.

      Now after supper I went for a soak in the Spa, (the giant hot tub). I'm gonna miss this amazing spa when we leave here, Then back home to relax with a Christmas movie, (Home Alone).
