Suzie's family came by for a visit and a fish fry, on a wonderful warm day

Where are we today ?

Just more amazing warm weather that we love. Nice night windows open, Fantastic fan going keeping us cool with a nice breeze all night. Nice and warm again this morning at 6 am and got a couple miles walked around the park before it got too warm. By noon temps into the high 80's F and not much of a of a breeze, A nice light tasty lunch with fresh fruit did the trick.
Then to the fitness centre here in the park and enjoyed a wonderful full body work out, just  cause I can (included in our membership here) and no where to go today anyway.
Suzie's brother, sister in law and her Dad were going fishing in Grand Bend and hoped to bring home supper. But they had no luck and I had prepared for it by buying some fish and the reservation yesterday. So I thawed out 1 lb of Perch and 1 lb of Pickerel (Walleye) for a pan fry tonight.
When they got here they took her Da d to the pond up the road, and they did very well lotsa small fish (sunfish) a crappie and one a bit bigger . But catch a release only, buy at least they caught some fish in short order.
thus one not bad
lots of these little guys
he was having fun at least a few small fish
Then back home for me to fry up the Perch and Pickerel I had thawed. These were pan fried with alight breading on our antique propane Coleman stove that still workS like a charm an looks like new.
most of the fish done here, then small batch and we had a feast
It was an easy meal other than frying the fish I had picked up some potato salad and coleslaw at the corner maket in  town to keep is simple.
this was a very tasty supper, and everybody had a good feed
After a fun day visiting with family they headed on back to New Hamburg, we tidied up and got to relax again on a very nice warm evening. Was 94 f (34C) this afternoon so our coach was quite warm inside, much more that the outside temps.
Wanted to fire up our AC for a bit, but once again did not work, so took our controller apart and sprayed with electronic contact cleaner. Let it sit for a while, back together and fired right up, Gotta love these nice easy fixes.
Outside to enjoy more of this warm weather, post this blog and enjoy our e-readers for a couple of hours. Gotta love this weather.
Glad that y'all dropped in for a visit and hope you had some decent weather too, wherever you are.
Where have we been this summer ?

    1. Yes the Coleman keeps on working and does an excellent job like it always did, You getting the heat there that we left a few months ago, hope you can keep cool enough.

  3. I remember those Coleman stoves. Everyone needed one if they were going to cook outside. There weren't a lot of options years ago.

    1. I have cooked many meals on this Coleman stove over the years and just works wonderfully. It was the easiest way to cook up a meal. Either that or a campfire.

  4. We're having a warm spell and windows open at night. Mr Him awoke with streaming hayfever though. Wants to tear his eyes out. Oh dear.

    1. The warm spell is nice but the hay fever not so much, I used to have it bad year ago. But not nearly as bad now.

  6. Did you buy the fish fresh or frozen? Bones? One reason we (well hubby) doesn't eat it much, he hates the little bones. Did you bread the fish? It looks awesome, and the coleslaw and potato salad looked mighty tasty! Love a good Coleman stove!

    1. The fish was frozen, and no bones at all, very nice fillets. Got from the Indian reservation where they catch it. A light breading made it very nice. So many store bought breading out there, not a batter.
Our trusty Coleman stove sure does the job.

  9. Good thing you had some thawed fish on hand. I've never caught any fish myself despite many tries. But I have drowned lots of worms! :cD
