Enjoying this weather, windshield repaired, laundry done, ready to move on out in the morning.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it

Just more wonderful weather again, nothing too exciting going on here today. Just doing what we do.
The usual walkabouts early morning stuff , then a quick trip to Forest for a few fresh veggies. We have decided on a new flooring for our coach a light grey solid vinyl  get rid of all of our carpet .We sampled a lot of nice wood types but this is what we want, easy to clean, will not show the dirt and make our small space look much brighter and match our walls and upholstery.
Then a couple of loads of laundry done before noon and a nice light tasty lunch as the temperature rose. Did get to 95 F  (35C) today but not too bad outside in the shade with a very light breeze.
this is the life we enjoy
After a few more walkabouts, check tire pressures and the oil in our coach before we leave in the morning. Then a nice relaxing time to enjoy our e-readers. Kevin dropped in from Colorcarft Auto Glass in town for fix a stone ship on the windshield of our coach ( covered by insurance). Only a few minutes here and should help to save our windshield. It has been replaced twice already !
this small chip was taken  care of
pork loin and  asparagus on the grill, with our salad
sure did the trick
Just after Kevin left I fired up our Weber Q to preheat the grill and a nice lean pork loin roast. Tried it with just a bit on salt, pepper, and garlic powder. None of our usual spices or rubs that do contain sugar that does cause the food to glaze but also glazes the grill. Turned out wonderful, very tasty and the grill  still good.
pork roast was so tender with applesauce
 asparagus and salad  was excellent
 more leftovers
That was our perfect day just enjoying the good life. Time to leave here once again in the morning , new places and new face the way we like it. Been here long enough but will be back soon, new flooring is on the agenda then. This is what we love about this lifestyle.
Thanks once again for taking the time to stop on by.

Where have we been this summer ?

  1. George,
Please keep us updated on the replacement of your flooring. We wanted to do the same thing but our 2002 Winnebago has a slide out that is apparently not on rollers. Have known others that have done it and the vinyl marked up and tore when the slide out went over it.

Also the added weight was a factor for us. When we took an account of how many boxes of vinyl we needed, it was heavy and we opted to replace all the carpeting with an upgraded version and just keep the vinyl in the high traffic area. (entrance and kitchen). My husband did an excellent job.

Love your blog and the recipes! I read you everyday!

    Blessings and safe travels.

    1. Thanks for your comment Karen, we hope this will work, the weight of this flooring is about the same as the carpet we are removing. This flooring will not tear, but the rollers might mark it a bit we have solutions for this issue that we hope will work. We have a kitchen slide and this is the one place where we want to get rid of the carpet. guess we will find out. Have sen other coach like ours done with this so hope it will work.

    1. It its easy to do yourself, I have done a chip myself, but this was paid for by my insurance so no problem there.

  6. George - The former owner of our HR replaced the carpet with wood and the slide will scratch it. He purchased four rails that the slide rides on as it closes and it works great. Are you going to replace it yourself?

    1. Thanks Kevin, we have a friend doing the work, he has the tools and has done many floors. and I will help him. What kind of rails or where can you get them? Just curios, I know we will need something.

  7. I'm the King of Windshield replacements, 13 on all my vehicles that I've owned so far, and counting. That's not even counting chips I've repaired myself.

  8. I like the light colored plank flooring. It should be fairly easy to put down. I read a blog a while back about covering spots on the vinyl to keep the slide from scratching. Now I'm scratching my head to figure where it was and what it said.
