Checking out new flooring for our coach, a wonderful sunny afternoon and fun time at darts tonight.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Another wonderful warm morning to begin our day. Kinda overcast but not raining yet so got a few nice walkabouts the park then just after 9 am we headed into Sarnia  (35 minutes away) to check for flooring that we would like to install in our motorhome. Our 18 year old carpet is in needed of replacement. We check the Home Depot and Lowes there, side by each and made a decision on the product we like, now to decide on the colour? It will be an engineered solid vinyl that is waterproof and looks like wood. Nice that we did this while the morning rain came and we home just after it stopped, good timing.
We home for lunch and set some free samples down , talked about it and talked to our friend here Walt that will be doing the work in a bit when we return here.
another walkabout and the Goose family is really growing
almost ready to fly, they did some wing flapping
Afternoon the rains stopped and sunshine came back out , so awning out, (no wind) and relaxed with our e-readers to enjoy a wonderful afternoon.  Of course a couple more walkabouts between chapters is in order.
Tucker stopped by with Gerry for a Suzzie fix.
Doggie fix for Suzie too!
sun came out and was a perfect afternoon
Then soon time to fire up our Weber Q to grill some chicken legs and thighs. Trying them on our grill mat to see how they turn out, helps keep the grill clean. And they turned out pretty good, but does not burn off the fat, hmm. So when done I slipped them off the mat for a couple of minutes and that seems to work well. The spices I used have a bit of sugar in them so gives it a nice dark crispy glaze on the skin.
this worked pretty good
To the chicken we added some leftover potato salad and coleslaw (from last night), tomatoes and cucumber.  Sure did the trick tonight. Save the bones for soup in the freezer.
yummy? yup.
And now with dishes done we head down for Thursday night darts for some fun times. Lots of laughs and Suzie's team came in 1st place  she won 3 bucks. Not too bad costs us 3 bucks each to play. There was 18 of all together go not a bad turnout at all.
After a fun evening we headed home just after 9 pm. Finish this posting then soon call it a night.
Thanks for stopping in and just know that most of you out there had an amazing day as well.

Where have we been this summer ?

  7. I think you made a very good choice re the new flooring. I hope that ripping out the carpet won't be too big a job, depends on how it was put in.

  8. We had replaced the flooring in ours a few times. None of them will last forever. We took the carpet out to begin with. Then, went down planked flooring and then went down planked tile. Now it's on to another type.
