Relaxing here in Oklahoma for a few days is wonderful.

Where are we today ?

Had a good sleep last night. It was cool, great for sleeping and a wonderful warm sunny day.  I did get a few walkabouts the resort this morning and a quick trip to Gainesville TX for some supplies only 9 miles away.
Passed by this Casino across the interstate, Think we check it out tomorrow, supposed to be windy and cooler.
World's Largest Casino
just have to go
Checked  out Thackerville a mile up the road, Population 440. Not much there 1 garage, 2 gas pumps, local store, volunteer fire department, Sheriff, small public school and 5 churches ! Love small towns.
After a light lunch we are enjoying our e-readers in the warm afternoon sun. Not to hot high 70's is perfect. And light breeze it was an excellent day.
Enjoying my book
Not too busy here, just the way we like it lotsa space.
nice view
Now you know it's warm, when Suzie has her shorts on and no socks.
An afternoon "Happy Hour", just the 2 of us is wonderful, then time to whip up supper, tasty salad, grilled asparagus, turkey burger for Suzie and a homemade Chorizo Burger for me, (they too spicy for her). Got the Asparagus  at Walmart only $1.47  LB and Strawberries only .99 cents a lb good deal there.
Now that was a tasty supper again!
Loving these quiet relaxing days together just the two of us.  Feels like we are in heaven! (honey moon maybe). No where we need to go for a few days. So peaceful !
Oh,  I did get another repair done, silverware drawer coming off the track, broken bracket. Pretty easy fix, now seems to work perfect again, we will see. Looking for another repair job from Suzie.
Just enjoying as much warm sunny weather as we can before heading back home to Ontario Canada, kinda chilly there right  now.
Hope your day was as wonderful as ours and thanks for stopping on by!

  1. I just bought some Asparagus for our dinner tomorrow. We, too, enjoy some alone time once in a while. Sit back and catch our breath.

  3. It should warm up to near seasonal temperatures by the time you are scheduled to return but it's still cooler than where you are right now.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

  7. 5 Churches! I am always amazed how even tiny communities (like Campobello) are sporting 5 churches. In Germany and most other countries in Europe, you will find 2 churches, a catholic and an evangelical one. rarely you will find a 3rd denomination. Now, in bigger places there might be 2 or even 3 of the same denomination, but in North America there seems to be no limit as to how many different church groups co-exit in the same place..

  10. Love the small towns where if you blink driving through you miss them! Let me guess, the Sheriff teaches at the school, drives the fire truck and pumps gas. :) Yesterday was a gorgeous day and I started on my tan. It was 19C in London.

    1. Lol I did see the Sheriff at the gas station and helping the volunteer fire department with the Easter egg hunt.
We don't need to start on a tan, it's usually there year 'round.
